he/she looks like it is a wonderful day to lay around on a log in the sun. pretty little striped head. he looks like the tiny ones people used to keep in fish bowls.
I can't wait for our painted turtles to come out! We have some residents on our pond, one that we've watched for many, many years now. Last year we had tiny babies, too! It was very exciting.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.

This makes ME appreciate sunshine and warmer weather.
After however many months sunk in the mud, fresh air is a good thing!!!
cute little guy - and so clean. ours are always covered in gunky algae.
These turtles have no modesty whatsoever, but they are cute. And now you can say you've done some "nude" photoshoots!
I love these little guys. We are off to the river today for a hike, hoping to see some. Great shot!
It must be spring!
Always enjoy seeing the turtles sunning themselves. Nice capture!
After being cooped up for so long, no wonder!
He/She is definitely looking for the sun. This is a great photo.
I lived next to a pond when I was young, and painted turtles like this were very common. This guy brings back fond memories.
That was me today.
