Apple Blossoms/Top Shot

Crab apple blossom

This is a small tree laden with blossoms. My husband grew this tree from seeds taken from  a crabapple tree growing on Toronto streets. Trees grown from seeds are not reliably beautiful but this time we were lucky!

Wild apple blossoms

I think we'll actually have apples on our wild trees this year! Last year we had a killing frost at just the wrong time so very little fruit was set.

I am linking to Madge's Weekly Top Shot.

Very beautiful blossoms. That's amazing the pink one grew from a seed that your husband found! The apple trees are just coming in to bud here and I noticed a wild one along the road had some white and pink showing yesterday. It was cold last night but no frost here. Only 7 this morning. Brrrr.

I didn't know that EG..apple blossoms have to be the most exquisite herald of spring ever, would be fantastic if they just bloomed for a bit longer oui!

Apple blossoms are one of my favorite flowers! I don't think we can grow apples here but I do remember apple trees (and crabapple trees) in Minnesota.

Beautiful shots!

I think that is a down right miracle, that the seed germinated into a full blown adult tree. Thanks for sharing that.

That is just gorgeous and so amazing you started with a seed. I hope the wild apples will be a tasty treat (the ones I've had are always sweet-tart and a gorgeous subtle flavor not found in supermarkets:).
