This is a damselfly found in southern Canada, most of the United States and into Mexico - this one living in a wetland area where I like to photograph birds.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Cool shot!
They look so damsel like, very delicate and fragile.
Nicely done - love the metallic tone to its coloring.
Beautiful dragonfly shot! Happy weekend!
I do believe I have shot one of those here in Ocala. This is a super photo with great detail!
Very nice, we have decorative dragonfly's of all shapes and sizes around our house.
I've yet to photographically capture one of these, they are like Bella, they never stop.
Amazing shot! They are hard to capture sometimes as they are flighty. They certainly are strange looking up close too!
Neat shot. I love those colors.
Beautiful picture of the dragonfly.
Nice weekend.
Regards, Irma

I love seeing dragonflies. They just seem so magical to me.
Great shot! This from someone who knows how difficult it can be to take photos of damselflies and dragonflies! ;b
Another great capture. They look kinda creepy up close though, the way you can sort of see through the body.
Interesting stuff.
