Here in central Ontario, this is the time of year to look for wild irises in bloom. They are so beautiful...and there's NO weeding required!

Oh yes, they are very beautiful! Irises flowers are so lovely, it's like each time you look at them they have a story to tell.. :)
Beautiful photos. They grow in the ditch across the road from us but I haven't noticed them yet.

Beautiful. The fact that on does not have to do the weeding is a wonderful bonus. That's why I love going to other gardens to photograph flowers.

I used to have a border of irises where I lived before. Many of them were from my grandma's house and divided / transplanted.
I planted a few here but I did that by a spirea bush and fountain grass that grew and took over the location.
I miss them / need to do something for next year! :)
A delight to see these vibrant irises ... I have the purple flag iris in my garden which has a wonderful sweet rich fragrance.
