Half-buried fence, rickety truck and dilapidated barn
If the grass and weeds grow much taller, the fence will be hidden but when I took this photo last week the camera and I could still see it from a dusty country road in Northumberland County.
A longer view
Originally I saw the truck and asked my husband to stop the car...stop the car! I had to poke through weedy shrubs and grass to take these photos. The angle I wanted to take this from had a tree trunk and dense underbrush in the way, so I settled for this view.

very cool and very overgrown!
Hi Ms EG TG -- I like old trucks too. That barn may hold all kinds of goodies.
What we do to get the perfect angle. Great shot.
Terrific photos. Love that old truck, especially. This place reminds me of our daughter's in-laws place. :)
And I'm guessing but probably most all Ocalans own guns. And a goodly percentage are very religious. Guns and Jesus go well together in this part of the Bible Belt. :)
The first photo is real gem.
That place has to seen human involvement for a long time! Great photos that certainly demonstrates that idea.
What a terrific discovery, EG. I occasionally find myself braking hard when an interesting picture opportunity jumps up. Fortunately so far no one has run into me.
Wow, that could be such a nice truck.
Love these. They could have been taken here in Floyd VA.
Nice work. I hope that you didn't get any ticks or chiggers getting the shot.
terrific view....
LOL! I have done that - but usually in my case I am chasing down a dog ;)
I love the HDR look with these photos!
I love the second shot so much! Boy that grass is high!
Fantastic, I think that truck has driven its last route!
Oh I am so excited I LOVE the shots and I LOVE that barn I have photos of it myself. It is awesome. We are getting much closer to meeting my friend and I can tell in only a matter of time two passionate fellow photographers are going to be hugging and taking photos of the same thing someday after randomly making their husbands pull over to the side of the road.... and I truly look forward to that:) B
Oh, what we go through to get just the right angle and light! Good job!
Oh, gee, I love this/these.
Love the old truck and the lengths you go through to get good shots.

I'm never moaning about my weeds again :) marvellous images EG.
I love these photos CG. Great composition. The old truck is slowly being swallowed by the weeds and brush and the barn is pretty nice.
this is a nice view! that truck will be hidden by the grass soon too.
I wouldn't say you settled at all. Those are great photos! There is just something about old barns and old trucks.
That was definitely a shot worth taking. Glad you stopped!
=)
Great example of Mother Nature taking assertive control! An incredible, beautiful find!
Great captures. Mother Nature is certainly doing her best to take control.
