The gate was a warning for cars not to enter but sinceit's still a town road (obviously unassumed), it's legal for photographers to walk around...which I did.
well, yea - of course it should be open access to photographers. My theory is that until it states otherwise, it is fair game. Nice shot - love Queen Ann's Lace - so simple yet so prissy.
Love the contrast of the rusted metal against the lacy flowers, and the way the flowers are completely ignoring the "keep out" message of the lock. ;-)
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Gorgeous!!! I am starting to think I will not have any long walks till next spring, what with school...
Rusty fences make great photos.
Nice photo. Of course I'm looking at the lock and it is not a serious lock is it. It'll keep the nice people like you and me out.
HI Lovely fence shot. How did you get in?
The soft element (flowers) against the hard elements (fence/lock) makes this very interesting.

ooooh, it looks filled with magical promise . . .

Pretty shot! Glad you took the chance. :)
Of course--we got cameras, a sorta badge to go where we want. LOL MB
makes for a great shot!
Good eye!
Sometimes I think you have a lock on good fence/gate photos! Very nice!
So looks like you were here sorry I missed you:) B
What a wonderful composition this is.
What a creative picture ! I never ask if it's legal or not to take a picture I am a paparazzi !
Now THAT is a great fence!
Oh, EG, love this shot. Perfect for Friday's fences...
Nice shot, EG!
Nice Pic.
a beautiful image of the gate. Would be great as a painting I think.
No lock can stop a good photographer! So many neat elements in your photo.
I'm glad you walked around the gate and got this beautiful picture.
I love the flowers through those square fence links - beautiful (legal:) scene!
I love this shot, and I am a fan of rust.
Nice shot of the fence.
Great composition!! Love this!
Safe and secure!
Beautiful rust tones on this. I am surprised at the small and light padlock on such a gate.
Reminds me of all the locks that are on the Paris foot bridges; I like yours better!!

sure makes a pretty photo!
Tis a gate that still stands even though time has been harsh.
Such dainty flowers. I love them.
=)
Love the lacy white flowers contrasted with the rusty fence.
Rustic elegance.
Love this shot!!!

lovely. I read a lot of books where Queen Anne's lace is mentioned. Now I know what it looks like.
