Mid Autumn Rural Ontario

Canada geese over Ontario farm

November is mostly overcast in central Ontario.  Air traveling over the "warm"  Great Lakes (compared to the air) picks up moisture, creating thick clouds.

Farmers' fields have turned  brown, and leaves have fallen from the trees. I do love the browns and golds, especially when the sun shines.

Fallen leaves in quick-frozen ice

Puddles have formed where some leaves have fallen, then frozen.

Frost on grass

Beautiful photos! :)
So lovely with the birds flying and the brownish colors on the first one! Yes, soon winter is over us..
But here where I live it uses to be frost and cold and mostly clear skies in November, but now we have warm and sunny days! :O :)

Lovely captures -- the golden tones are quite pretty.

I love these photos, especially the first one. The shades of brown and rust, the farm buildings and the geese are a perfect November scene. It's sunny here today and going up to 10 again. Tomorrow 14 and rain, then back to 'normal' November temperatures the rest of the week. Have a great Sunday.

I love the frost on the grass shot, and the photo collage of leaves. And the first shot of the geese make me miss seeing them more than ever. I cannot believe how few there are around here now.

We've melted, with 15 C. temperatures today. Geraldine bullfrog is out. It's raining. I'm ready for winter, though!

It is definitely getting close to being winter. We have enjoyed some unusually unchilly days, but all of that will change on Tuesday.

I love this mosaic. Such lovely browns and golds.

Love the frozen leaves - just not in a neighborhood near me any time soon. We had a little snow early last week and I'm fine until Christmas eve.

Very English weather - except that our air has travelled across the Atlantic so is warmer and cloudier! So far we've had hardly any frost but the weatherman speaks of approaching winter this week. Like the quick frozen leaves very much.

You collage is great as yours always are. Love the shot of the Honkers. We don't see too many Canada Geese here but the Snow Geese are back for the winter as are the Trumpeter Swan. Need to get some pics. MB

Rural Ontario! It is my dream to live in a tiny little cottage with a pretty garden, close to a small town, where folks greet you as you open the door to your favourite coffee shop, to watch the rain fall on leaves like yours.

So cozy!
