On the Beach(es)

 Snow fencing on beach, Oshawa

It's looking more and more like late autumn. Canada geese (seen beyond the snow fencing) have arrived from the Arctic. (Many of the geese that live here during the warmer months have fled to the southern U.S.)

 Leaves on the beach

Leaves, pebbles and driftwood litter the sand.

Yellow-rumped warbler

A yellow-rumped warbler flitted about the beach debris looking for  dinner.

 Another deserted beach, Whitby

I was surprised to find this yucca plant  growing amongst the pebbles.

Water droplets on yucca growing on beach

Nice photos of Lake Ontario's shoreline Camera Girl. It looks so barren but you did manage to find plant and animal life.

There's something about a beach any time of the year that makes one want to linger. Beautiful photos.

The yucca plant is so incredibly hardy and almost impossible to destroy. I don’t recall ever seeing snow fencing around the beaches in my neck of the woods but I have seen a lot of litter on the sand. It all looks so pretty in your pictures, especially the beads of water on the yucca.

Nice shoreline shots, and that warbler is a cute one...I didn't know the name, but it sure fits the little guy.

I've come across your "snow fencing" on our beaches along the Pacific Coast. They use it to protect ground nesting plovers. Am glad ours is for that and not snow.

Fine collection of late fall beach photos. Think I can feel the cold breeze here.

Lovely series of late autumn shots EG, it looks like its going to be a very cold winter for you and a very hot summer for me, if only we could work something out :)

Det første billede er rigtig godt.

A beach near Whitby? How quaint can these Ontario towns get?!! Yes, I'm feeling nostalgic and homesick for Southern Ontario, especially in the fall, there's nothing more beautiful!

Beautiful images, thank you!
