Ice on Echinacea #1
The Greater Toronto Area and the rest of southern Ontario experienced an ice storm over Saturday into Sunday, which has left much destruction and quite a few people without electricity. But amazingly it also brought some beauty - at least I find it pretty - in my gardens.
Ice on Echinacea #2
I can only imagine how sparkly my garden would have been if the sun had come out!

The storm sounds bad, here we have howling gales and horizontal rain instead! Beautiful photos.
Seen photos of Ice Storms though we get them here on occasion, like in a blue moon. I think we are getting the tail end of the storm tonight
It's just like snow... the good, the bad and the ugly.
So destructive yet so beautiful!
they are gorgeous, they look like glass sculptures.. the first one looks like an ice hand clasping the bud...
Gorgeous!!! My favourite is the middle one! I am hoping to get out with my camera today, and see what I can capture...
We got sideswiped by it and got mostly snow.
These are lovely images. It is one of those contradictions that something that causes destruction can also be beautiful.
Very pretty- I hope you did not lose power!
No matter the season I love Echinacea and yours with the ice are beautiful.
Merry Christmas my dear friend:)

The ice would definitely turn to sparkling diamonds if the sun came out. I have been hearing about the storm on the news so glad to know you still found ways to enjoy your garden. Wishing you and yours a very warm and cozy Christmas!
Beautiful pix.
Surpreendente, como uma escultura.

Our ice was strange. The temperature stayed right around freezing so the roads were clear but the trees and yards were coated. Many people lost power but driving was no problem.
Those are wonderful Its too bad one has to have such terrible conditions to create such beauty.
gorgeous! but i do feel for those without power and those who must drive on those roads.
Cool photos! Even though ice storms can be an inconvenience, they sure do produce some amazing ice sculptures.
Wow, looks like an art form.
It sure makes for a wonderful world out there, but I hate bundling up to photograph it.
Wat een schitterende foto's!!!
The ice is so artful here, especially #2! Love these, but be careful out there.
Wow - gorgeous ice flowers!
My word that is a lot of ice. Don't like ice storms even though some thing can be pretty.
Love your Jack Frost mosaic.

Great shots, and looks like so much ice that the plant should have collapsed. HOpe that you have a wonderful Christmas! Blessings from texas!
It was too scary here to spend any time taking pics of the ice here. I walked carefully to the grocery store and then came back and stayed in all day!
Now, this is beauty caused by evil treacherous ice.
Have been keeping a close watch on your Ice Storm, as my daughter is staying with my sister and her family in Unionville, and they've had no power since Sunday morning! They slept with their coats on and several layers, I'm sure. Sounds scary and COLD!!
That being said, your images in your last two posts are beautiful; could be straight out of a fairytale featuring snow princesses and lots of suspense!
Merry Christmas, to you! Stay warm!

It's obviously White Christmas time - enjoy it!
Merry Christmas!
Nice big dollops!
Ice storms make for great photos, but not much else. When I lived in Portland Oregon we would get a couple every winter, I do not miss them at all. Have a good holiday.
Oh wow! These are amazing beauties.
A horrible storm, and I have been having waaaaay too much fun taking photos! We have power.
These are really cool!
Mother Nature is an amazing artist.
What a amazing captures. The ice is beautiful. These shots are true photographic art to me. Kudos to you. Merry Christmas.

Fantastic shots!
Ice is so dangerous, but you've really managed to find some beauty amidst the destruction. Very pretty!
