Sun setting in puddle
During our recent "January Thaw" (said tongue in cheek as we still have a lot of ice and snow), I spotted this puddle on the edge of a farmer's field. No rainbows and no pots, but there was definitely gold there.
Liquid gold in a ditch
On some winter days when the sun is nearly obscured by clouds and haze, gold appears magically in a farmer's ditch.

Isn't it just amazing how sunlight can completely transform a landscape?
Perfect golden reflection.
A very fitting title! I envy you these - especially the first one.
nice thought processing; I love the first photo especially

You have two gems here EG, really lovely scenes.
Beautiful winter photos!
Wow! Breathtaking pictures!
Thank you so much for the nice compliments to my daughter. She asks me to thank you too. :) :)
instead of a pot of gold you have a pond of gold.. looks like we could take a cup and scoop up the gold
we're rich!!! beautiful shots!!
No need for rainbows or pots, your liquid gold is good enough! Beautiful reflections and those telephone poles going on for miles...something about the 2nd shot really makes me think of Canada:)
These are both superb, but the first one would be a winner in a photo contest! Love them!
Beautiful shots that evoke a sense of quiet.
Beautiful...your words brought to mind the Marshall Tucker Band song Fire on the Mountain..."there's gold in them hills/fields and its waiting for me there" Hills/fields....either one sounds good.
Finding gold, what great shots.

I really like your first photo. You captured the golden sky's reflection perfectly!
Really beautiful shots!
I can feel the cold coming from these images. Great winter reflections.
Nice way to be a gold digger! :o) Very poetic post..
All this snow ! That is a white gold on your pic... But the reflection of the sunset on those puddle is so precious too.
Beautiful shots, EG. What an artist's eye you have. MB
I love the golden pond.
What a perfect title for this post. That first shot is exquisite!
I bet you wish you had a big bucket at hand to scoop up some of that "gold"!
You captured such a mystical hue in these photos. I could never resist a puddle, especially when it is golden.
These are beautiful, EG! It looks like you could skate for miles along that ditch!
Pretty pictures CG. We are seeing similar things here this week but with a lot more water on some spots.
Wonderful shots !
Have a nice weekend !

Pięknie wygląda złota kałuża i widok wokół niej. Pozdrawiam.
It looks beautiful gold pool and the view around her. Yours.
Nature painted it and you captured it ... a work of art by both.

good one
Such a beautiful reflection of sun setting in puddle... Amazing...
Dare I say it again? I'm jealous... Yeah, I know, I sound like a broken old record...
I love these liquid gold shots.
Fabulous captures, EG - Your images confirm how much I am looking forward to my month on Vancouver Island in about 10 days' time, to explore different photographic scenes to those offered by a climate currently scorching the population with temperatures in the 40's (Celsius that is, and not minus!).... although I understand that V.I. is the mildest part of Canada; whatever comes, I shall enjoy anyway! Thanks for the forestaste.
Great photos that show that you don't have to have "grand" scenery for grand photos. But you do need light! Liquid Gold is a perfect title.
Such beautiful shots!
Great shots. Like them
Love when the ice and/or water pick up the sky - and there's such a special feel to that in the wintertime! Lovely shots!
Such a beautiful color.
Wonderful, warm light.
=)
We can only seem to get about a one day thaw before it's back to the deep freeze. Spring has to come eventually!
Sunsets in your area are beautiful
