So much interest - snow, details of the bridge and that amazing blue sky. Oh, and the photo triggers: leading and curving lines. Yep, I think you got it.
Wonderful shots EG - perfect clarity! The vivid blue sky could easy be shot on the clear summer days we are having in the Southern Hemisphere - if it wasn't for the ice, snow and bare trees in the background!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

HI EG I love both these shots. wonderful clear blue skies yet snow on the ground and ice in the sea. Wonderful bridges
What a beautiful view of the bridge
Have a nice Sunday
This must be the main bridge that was in use before the Skyway bridge was built. When it went up the traffic line up stretched for miles.
Sits perfectly against that big blue sky!
I am loving that sunlit lift bridge in the second photo... the icy water and the colors are magnificent
I am surprised that there isn't more ice in the water, with it being so cold?
Posted a virtual tour of our house on my blog post today.
And you were singing, "What a day this has been, what a rare mood I'm in...." Right?
Gorgeous. Still looks cold, though, with that ice floating on the water and the snow, of course!
The colours don't 'pop' as much as the other day but it's still impressive!
Your second photo reminds me of a photo I took in PHiladelphia. Nice perspective.
A lovely angle for both shots.
Hi! Nice captures. We would say that "The river divides people, and the bridge joins them together."
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday.
In spite of all that sun and blue sky, that water still looks so cold. Beautiful scene !
Beautiful from every angle.
That is a gorgeous blue sky. I like all the interesting straight and curved lines in these photos, as well as the angles.
Thanks for bringing these bridge images to Sunlit Sunday. Can you imagine designing such a structure!

very pretty against the blue.
We get to look at the opposite side, amazing shot against the deep blue sky
Great captures! Such lovely sky. We have a couple of lift bridges, close to me, that are always a pleasure to see!
Oh, to see blue skies!!! Soon and very soon, I hope!!! Have a wonderful week!
Those blue skies add the perfect touch to most any picture.
Burlington is about 12 miles up the road---well a different town I do suppose. LOL
Love the bright blue sky. MB

Feels odd to see the snow and open water. A nice sunny day at least.
Nice shots of these bridges. They are both interesting looking. I like the sheets of ice in the water.
I am always fascinated by bridges (I don't know why). I sometimes wonder whether I would have liked to have been a civil engineer.
Icy cold and beautiful shots. Bridges are graceful and strong structures.
I haven't been to Burlington in ages!
The lift bridges are fascinating...
Strong, sturdy & imposing bridge !
That blue sky.....beautiful!
