Canal Bridge

Lift bridge and reflection, Hamilton/Burlington

Taking this photo last Monday (a beautiful February day), I was in Hamilton looking across the canal at Burlington. I was struck by the beauty of the orange reflection. The colour is paint, not rust.

That was a monster. Very nice combination of the green and orange against the blue sky.

I like it was painted to look rust-ish. Very pretty color, actually!

Great reflection. Sort of the color of our Golden Gate. Doesn't look quite a cold as some recent photos.

This is such a beautiful shot.
I have always found draw bridges kind of scary for some reason but I love to watch the boats going through.

It does look like rusty water.

Well, I guess when it does rust, they won't have to paint right away! Beautiful reflection.

Beautiful! The boat captains on the canal certainly should be able to see it! Thanks for your comment. I like to use my van windows reflections - some shots are better than others.

An unusually beautiful photo of reflections. It's the orange paint and the blue sky that make such a bright and cheerful combo.

Very nice picture of a bridge with an unusual construction to open itself. I like it.

What an impressive rusty color... I hope the bridge is okay, though...
