It was a cold day, but the sun was out. And so was this horse on the south side of the barn and...
Being watched
his friend on the east side. Both were enjoying fresh air and sunshine.

So 'fitting' that the horse is dressed in the more serious, dark, monochromatic cover , and the donkey, more laid back, in playful, purple checks!

i can tell they are happy, well cared for and loved... so sweet and beautiful taking in the sun bath under their blankets... makes me happy to see them standing there.

I'm so happy someone saw fit to give the donkey a blanket. Now he has two winter coats. His furry one looks pretty thick.

I take it that the horse does not read the same fashion magazines as his friend in the flashing purple coat. I had no idea that some critters dressed so beautifully. What fun!

They are both adorable, and appear to be very happy to be alive.
I'm sure glad these poor critters are wearing blankets. What about their hooves? Do that have some kind of coverings for feet, too.
I would ask that question at one of our horse farms, but we don't have snow and really cold weather here. :)
