Barn and crumbling silo
I sure was hoping by now to show you gorgeous crocuses coming up in my gardens, but if they are emerging they are doing it below the snow cover. However, these photos are an accurate reflection of what I am actually seeing these days.
The barn in the above photo appears to be in good shape but the silo....
OOPS!
Kinda pretty frosted in snow

It is not too often I see a silo with stone work in it. Most of them are pure concrete.
I love the stone silo, very pretty barn! Have a happy day and enjoy your new week.
Too many winters for that one building.
Awesome photos that is all I am seeing around these parts lately too I seen two barns that collapsed from the weight of the snow. Sad. Hug B
Really a pretty barn with the rock foundation. I bet the silo was a beauty in it's day.
Middle one has seen better days
The stonework makes the silo pretty unique.
I agree with Kate -- the stonework is wonderful in the first image. xo
That stone silo looks particularly picturesque.
There is something about weathered barns and this is a particularly nice one.

The description of 'frosted in snow' is so fitting. The top barn, very pristine shape in its weathered look.
Hope you see your crocus soon!!!!
That old weathered boards are beautiful and so is the rockwork.
I love the first barn. It is really beautiful with the stone foundation and what's left of the silo.
That first barn shot is a real beauty. Love the stone they used.
Nice barns. That stone silo is really unusual.
i like that crumbling stone silo... and the barn does look like it has icing on it. hope the icing melts soon and let's your crocus pop through..
I've seen no snow this year so will have to make do with my crocuses! Wonderful old barn.
i like the stone foundation matching what's left to the silo in the first. and really like the last. these old beauties...
I love seeing photos of weathered old barns. You found some good ones!
We got another covering of snow, but thank God not what they were predicting. Only and inch or two.
I LOVE that first barn...love the stone foundation and what is left of the silo.
I like the stonework. Very nice.
Love seeing these old beauties. But then again they make me sorta sad. The stone work on the first is just great. MB
Wonderful stonework on that silo, EG!
I really love the stone in the foundation and silo of the first barn. The last photo is great, too!
I love the first one! The second one might be a little too weathered though!
What a beautiful old barn, and it really does look like it's in pretty good shape.
Happy day to you!
Lovely shots!
The stone is so pretty against that weathered wood.
Sometimes I dream of living in a barn (one that hasn't quite collapsed yet!)
i enjoyed seeing the barn image #1. so very peaceful with the winter landscape.
These images are beautiful, with the snow flattering the faded silvery grey planks.
Very creative and beautiful barn photos in their wintry splendor ~ thanks,

I love the old barn and the stone silo in particular -- don't see many of these any more!! Terrific captures for the day, EG, as always!! Hope you have a great week!
Incredible photo!!
Such wintry splendour - so striking!
I love structures like barns and silos. It's sad to see the second picture where it's all broken down. I hope it will get fixed in the summer. Beautiful soul-stirring pictures, at least to me.
The snowy pictures are pretty, but I am ready to see Crocuses as well.
Great shots. Love old barns and unique silos!
The stone silos are so unusual for me to see. There are none like them around where we live. The barn with the snow is so pretty. There is just something special about all the white stuff and an old barn.
Beautiful shots. That first one looks huge.
Oh my! I love these barn shots!! so pretty with the snow.
Old and crumbling, yet full of beauty! My post is on something similar.
Weathered barns are so beautiful! Great shots.
I'm feeling as weathered as that barn, and about as strong as the collapsed building. Even given this comparison, as always, I take delight in your post
Shame you have no crocuses but just snow. Hope it warms up for you soon.
Beautiful old barns, and so melancholy in the snow and gray. I worry that they will only be seen in museums someday.
I love the contrast between the weathered barn boards, and the white snow!!!
But I could do without the snow...
I love old barns and even the silo that has fallen down has its own appeal for me. I've always had a fascination with ruins. I remember an old house, in a fishing village that became a sailing village too, where my family had a vacation home when I was growing up. This old house was falling down and I loved it just the way it was. I was disappointed when someone bought it and restored it. Yep, I was a weird kid, even then I loved ruins.
I really like these weathered barns -- it's too bad about the barn in your middle photo.
Nice! I like looking at old barns too.
Kinda pretty frosted in snow . . . Yes! I enjoy looking at pretty snow photos like this so long as I don't actually have to experience it myself.
I love that first shot.
