Peanuts!
Peanuts are rich in protein and fat and attract many birds to feeders.
Yum!
This blue jay was so attracted that it hardly noticed I was only a few feet away with my camera.
Are you looking at me?

Nice captures! And quite a handsome fellow.
Peanuts !! I did not know that EG. How totally gorgeous your little blue bird is..
I love the way birds look at you trying to photograph them, they either fly away or stay and pose.
Wonderful photos. Have a great week.
Great photos, those Blue Jays sure love their peanuts don't they?
HI EG Great shots of the Blue Jay. I love the last shots best.
Wonderful shots! Our jays like peanuts but we put them out in the shell a handful at a time. They spot them immediately.

I like seeing him up close like that! Wonderful shots.
What a handsome fellow!
What a handsome fellow!
Many people don't like bluejays because they chase away other birds, but I've always liked them. They are so beautiful as your photos show.
You got some great shots, beautiful bird!
Aren't they the most beautiful blue!!!
the Jays at Bray park love peanuts in the shell...
Jays are so handsome, and are quite the characters. I love watching them. Great shots!
Pretty greedy boy !
I am seeing more and more of these peanut feeders on blogs, perhaps I should get one also, as if I don't spend enough $$$ on bird food as it is already.
I like blue jays and you got some great shots of this one.
Not only birds, I am also attracted by peanuts.
love these beauties!
I think these guys are addicted to peanuts!! Boom, Bobbi and Gary.
nothing comes between them and their nuts ;)
He looks a bit thin so can probably use a few nuts!
Lovley shots ,nette
I think I need to put some of those peanuts out. I know they are obnoxious, but I love the jays.
He's a cutie and is certainly nuts about nuts!
Pretty little fellow. I wonder if he's a cousin of our blue tits... (no pun...)
Pretty little guy, and is there anything cheekier than a jay?
Blue jays are cocky. Maybe that's because they are so good-looking!
;)
The Jay is loving your restaurant! Fine food indeed. He pays you with great photo ops!
Great shots of the jay. It's a beautiful bird.
I love the blue jays. These guys look quite a bit different from the ones I knew in North Carolina and Virginia.
He's a beauty. Ours love peanuts too, but I can never get very close unless I'm in a bird blind. Nice shots!
That little bit of green tinge on his tail and belly makes me think he has been meandering in a freshly cut yard. I love the Blue Jays. They are so entertaining and beautiful. Great pictures ...
Andrea @ From the Sol

Handsome visitor.
He appears to be looking at you. Beautiful shots!

What a sweet little one, and I'll bet he's glad to have the feeder all to himself! :-)
what a pretty little fellow.
I love how this feeder says....."You need to work for your peanut!:)" It looks squirrel proof!
Great shots. My mother despises blue jays and sends them packing anytime they get near our feeders! I think they're gorgeous.
Beautiful bird.
