Highland cattle
I pass these cattle regularly but have to say the weather has been extremely uncooperative. Whenever I am out, the sun is in and vise versa. These guys are high up on a hill, pulled in with my point-and-shoot's zoom.
Green grass
Note that the grass has turned green at this farm. I'm hoping the cattle will soon be allowed to graze in a lower field closer to the road...and that the sun will be shining.
I am linking with Saturday Critters HERE.

Just like breakfast at Tiffany's. :-)
Highland cattle always impress me.
Those horns impress me. Nice greenery all around.
Impressive beasts, however they are usually placid animals in my experience. Which is to say that I've walked through fields where they've been grazing without them taking even the slightest interest. Of course some are so hairy that they probably can't see me.
The grass really has freshened up there. It has been awhile since I've seen that kind of cattle.
I was unaware that we raised any of this type. I wonder what they provide that others don't? Aside from looks, I mean.
I've never heard about Highland Cattle; I(m SO impressed with their long brve looking horns☆☆☆
Hope getting a bit warmmer for you,my friend.
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
How cool- shaggy cows! I've never seen any in real life...they would surely roast down here in the south!
They look quite different from the cattle I can see over here.

Always impressive----Even if the cattle don't move to the lower field I hope the sun comes out for you . MB

Love these highlands! We don't see them down this way very often.
nothing wrong with these images you've shared. they're very nice. the cattle seem to be quite content eating all that hay. hope all is well. have a great day~
So glad to see it's getting green where you are. Hope you have a great weekend!
They look like furry Texas longhorns!
Very handsome animals. I hope you have sunshine the next time you go to look at them.
It's been such a rough winter for all the animals. I'm sure they're looking forward to sunshine and green pastures!
You've definitely been spotted EG.. those are some pretty impressive horns there! Hope it warms up over the weekend for you.
Hi EG I love these guys. I last saw some on the i.O.W. when I was last there. Have a great weekend.

The Highland cattle are impressive. Beautiful shots! Thank you for sharing your post with my critter party, have a happy weekend!
Looks like chow time and it must be good!
I bet they are sick of this weather!
The green grass is a refreshing sight. Those horns look pretty dangerous to me,but a good telephoto lens still works for pictures.
Green grass?
hey Einstein, it's the manure.
hahahahaha
Beautiful scenery, and the horns on the cattle. Great shots too, whether the sun was out or not.
Pretty cows - I like that concept.
wow, those horns ... i bet they can be weapons if they need them? ( :
They sure are handsome creatures!
Underneath all that shag is a tiny beast. lol
Great shots!
Nothing like sharing a meal with family.
