Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara)
Today (Sunday) started out grey and dreary, but then the sun came out this afternoon. YAY!
The very first wildflower to bloom in my area is coltsfoot. The blossoms look a lot like dandelions but notice that their centres are not at all like dandelions and that this plant blooms before the leaves spout.
Weeping willows
And the first tree to leaf out are the willows.
Canada goose on nest
The ducklings will be hatching soon.
Bridge over stream
Green grass but brown cattails are the colours seen in this Newmarket park.

happy that spring has reached you!
The willows are pretty in the sunlight- and I can't wait for the geese babies...watching the families swim along the bank is one of my favorite things about spring.
It is nice to see the wildflowers blooming, happy spring.. Love the goose shot and the weeping willows.. Lovely post, have a happy week!
Yes, I'm sure spring must come as a very welcome guest where you live.
Glad to see spring has finally made an appearance. At first I did think the flowers were dandelions, but not quite. They are pretty.
Those flowers do look a bit like dandelions. I like the bright yellow.
a lot of these yellow flowers lookalike.
Pretty soon we will be complaining about the heat.
Beautiful shots!
Spring is slowly (very slowly) asserting itself.
Glad spring is finally showing itself there. The trees here are begining to show some green here too. Hopefully some flowers will be blooming soon. Happy spring!
