Now inside Southlake Hospital (Newmarket)
Once Southlake Hospital was called York County Hospital. I'm impressed that when the hospital added an addition, it retained this old entrance.
Not really rubbish, but definitely old so...
I am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

Must have been a real landmark and now still is. :-)
This one looks more pleasant than the institutionalized ones that they have today.
It is kind of grand and plain at the same time. I love the decoration above the door.
I agree it's nice that they've kept this welcoming entrance! Hope you are spending less time at the hospital these days, though. :)
beautiful entrance!
That is one cool door. I too am surprised they would keep it.
It is pleasant and distinctive to the eye, EG.
Yes, I thought the way bricks are arranged and the green dots showing how the door opens are unique♪

How brilliant to incorporate this into the renovation. I don't think this is at all 'rubbishy,' but I get how it fits the meme.
What a great idea! That is a great entrance. Beautiful and lots of character.
We have a couple of lovely, old building around here. Love them!
Gorgeous glass in the top of the door and I love how the decoration on the ground reflects how the doors open.

A great idea!
It's nice that they preserved it. I like the leaded glass window over the door.
Clever!
Well of course this is a marvelous fit for rubbish! It does seem to me that rubbish (at least around here) is getting prettier and highly interesting don't you think?!
Wow! That is just awesome that they saved the original door!
Interesting. I have seen this in museums' recreations, but not in new additions to an old building.
Pretty cool that they kept this.
Love the door and its jagged look on the bricks on the side. Beautiful window above the doors.

How nice that they held onto a bit of their attractive history!
