Silo
This old barn and silo must have been a beauty in its day but now it's slowly falling apart.
Taken from a little farther away
I would have loved to have taken a photo from a slightly different angle but there are several no trespassing signs so I was not able to, otherwise I might have sneaked up the driveway a short way. From this angle I had to shoot over distracting shrubs.
In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

Well this 'rubbish' is definitely a treasure! Your angle makes the silo look like a castle tower. =)
This one is a classic.
Makes me want to know more about the farm and the farmer.
This one is a classic.
I love silos among lots of other stuff.

...the images are perfect!!! You did a grand job of getting the photos without shrubbery.
I've been know to sneak into places I really shouldn't to get the photo I want. You did a great job with this one from where you were though, the colours are lovely,
This definitely has seen better days, and you photographed it well to show the decay.
Love those colours and textures!
I'm lovin' that silo! You managed soem great shots past those shrubs. Thanks for linking up!
I'm always seeing old barns around here, thinking I should photograph them before they fall down. Three more nearby fell this winter.
Old barns are so wonderful. There is just something special there.
A nice study in form and texture !
Old barns have so much character!! I know what you mean about respecting other people's privacy, and how sometimes that is so hard!!!
Especially love the first photo!
I love these old barns and silos. Very nice!!!
The decay has its own beauty.
its beautiful. i love all the textures in the second one, so much to stare at...
Such an interesting structure with all the textures. It may bring a lot of photog trespassers. :)
It's always sad to see such a beautiful and iconic structure fall apart. But, you really worried about "No Trespassing" signs? Sheesh! You'll never get your Masters Degree in photography that way! :)
Lovely old relic. I like the texture a lot.

It is still quite pretty, even in its old age!
Wonderful !! I love old silos and barns from years ago and when they fall down they will not be replaced with the same...
I've never seen a silo with an addition like that nor with a wood roof. It must really be an oldey. Nice fine.
wow! that silo is unique! the roof is really cool!
That's a neat old silo. It looks very old. Nice shots.
Wonderful shots of this interesting structure. Don't you hate those No Trespassing signs?
That does look VRY old. A lot of great textures in these shots.
Wow, love that silo and its 'cap'! The barn has a patchwork quality to it. :D
Thanks for your visit and kind comment on my RT post.

I really like this old silo and the barn of course.
About the Tulips in the tree...we saw that somewhere and decided they looked neat. We have an old stump in our front garden so we planted red Tulips there and they do look very neat. MB
Hmmmmm so you aren't a trespasser?! I wonder how much longer it will stay up...
It looks like the old towers we have in Europe, in old castles from middle age ! Stunning !
It would have been grand. I really like the variety of textures in the first shot especially.
The silo looks quite unusual with those bricks, EG!
I have never seen a silo made of brick/stone.
It is just gorgeous!
Still lovely.
They are definitely nice captures, love all the different textures.
I often feel a bit guilty at enjoying sights like this. Their appeal lies in their tattered state. Sad, but beautiful.
Considering all the restrictions you did a great job!
What we need here EG is someone to come along and buy it to restore and convert it into a family home :)
I forgot again about Rubbish Tuesday...and that is the one meme that I could probably join for a year without having to go take a pic.
I love this old silo and barn...I always imagine how proud and happy the original owners must have been when they built it.
A stone silo is a bit uncommon (for me) although there is one around here.
Great photo! I love old buildings texture and charm!

Love the look and texture of that silo.
=)
All the different textures make the building so interesting.
