Tea Time!

A special treat - teapot and cups

My husband is still in hospital - it has been nearly nine weeks - but some of the staff at Southlake in Newmarket have made my husband's stay quite nice.

Jane is a special member of the staff.  So far I have never seen Jane grumpy even though some patients are slobs  messy and it's Jane's job to keep their room's spic and span.  Plus if a patient wants an extra pillow (or just about anything else in the supply closet), it's Jane who cheerfully fetches it.

But Jane topped herself on Friday when, for no special reason - except that she felt like it  - she brought from home a teapot and some teacups to serve tea to her patients and their guests.

Jane

Thanks, Jane!

FYI: This would have been a better photo if I had engaged the flash on my camera

There are lots of kind people in the world but they don't get the publicity they deserve - so thanks for bringing her to everybody's attention.

You know, that is the thing about healthcare. You meet some wonderful souls.
We haven't told all the kids yet, but hubby's prostate cancer isn't gone. I feel for you and me, both.
You are in my thoughts.

What have I missed???? I feel like such a dummy...going back now and seeing all your posts that mentioned hospital. When I get behind like I have been I go back and mostly glance to see what photos you post...I feel like a complete jerk to not have realized something was wrong.

You don't have to tell me what is wrong, but I do hope for a complete recovery...
