Remains of last year's blossom
A well-established climbing hydrangea climbs the wall of the patio outside Southlake Hospital's (Newmarket) cafeteria. It holds memories of last year as well as hope for the year to come.
Buds of this year's blossoms

It holds memory.
I love this.
Very interesting contrast. And it shows well the cycle/circle of life. Spring is a wonderful season in that it reminds us brilliantly as to how new life comes from old.
Looking healthy again!
The old is as beautiful as the new!
I've never heard of climbing hydrangeas! The buds are big, that's good! They are blooming here, saw some yesterday while limping in the park! :-)
Rebirth is a good way to go.
Beautiful! I love hydrangeas, although I've never heard or seen the climbing variety. Hope you can show us the blossoms when they're out.
Lovely contrasts!
Beautiful illustration of the changing seasons. I love hydrangeas. Ours are already in bloom.

Ah yes, the circle of life lives on.
And round and round it goes...
