Tulips Alive and Well

 Tulip in my garden today

Yes, tulips are still blooming in my gardens. I know we in central Canada are WAY behind most of the rest of you garden-wise,  but I still have these (just barely) blooming in my gardens.  What would spring be like without tulips? The idea boggles my mind.

What with reading the northwest US blogs and the Canadian blogs I've never seen so many beautiful tulips in my life!

Tulips are often nice and shiny in sunshine. You really captured that sheen. Yes, tulips are wonderful and come in so many lovely shapes and colours.

EG, that first one is an excellent composition. I missed tulips completely this year, except for those I bought in grocery stores.

None in my tiny garden, but I've been buying $5 bunches of tulips from No Frills, and they brighten up the house with their lovely colours.

Most of my tulips have faded out for another year, but some are later than others and have recently come out.

Beauties.
Falling by the wayside here this morning. Tulip seasons come and goes in a flash, well, a week it seems.

I can't grow tulips here - keep hoeing them out. Very careless when I could have beauties like yours.

Gorgeous red color and sheen on the tulip, I love them but only some species tulips repeat for me, thanks to my voles and squirrels.

Love these!
I wish I could see my old garden in Toronto. I wonder if the tulips came out this year or they got eaten by the squirrels!

These are just stunning! Sadly, my tulips were eaten by the goat. I hope they come back next year.
