Wild violets #1
A patch of wild violets are happy blooming beneath the Rosa Rugosas in by side yard.
Wild violets #2
Many gardeners regard violets as weeds. Not me! They remind me of happy childhood days. :)
Red tulips
Yes, that's a birdbath that needs to be put back together and filled with water. OK, I'll do it TODAY. (Don't worry, we also have a larger birdbath fairly close to this one.)
American Robin
Every morning lately, this guy serenades everyone in the yard. He's soooo happy!

All lovely moments, captured sweetly. I especially enjoy the tulips and the charming setting where they grow.

You have a fine yard. I have those violets too, and I'm not all that happy about it -- at least in having them too near cultivated beds.

Your violets and tulips are gorgeous. You must have been almost on your tummy to get the photos of the violets. :)
Me either on the violets...if they want to grow, I leave them alone. Even their leaves are pretty!

Yes, I had someone tell me that if I kept on dividing and planting my native violets they'd spread everywhere ... ha ha, that was exactly what I was wanting!
They popped up amongst the grass and even dealt with being mowed. They are the sweetest little plants and I just love your photos of them :D)
The wold violets are such a gorgeous colour, I would be very happy to have them in my garden :) The robin is a delight.. I think your garden must be quite a haven for the birds EG.
I love the wild Violets. I have some blooming at the Victoria House--- --not officially in Stanwood but up in the woods about 10 miles from Stanwood. and since I have met Bob I spend time between his house--called the Rose House--and my Victoria House. Sounds elegant but it isn't. Anyway--love your images.
