Zest

On the back of my husband's physiotherapist's T-shirt

June 1st is City Daily Photo Theme Day and this month's challenge is ZEST.

Few people have more ZEST than my husband's physiotherapists.  They take their jobs seriously but have fun doing it.

Did you know that May was Physiotherapy Month? I probably wouldn't know either if my husband were not still a patient at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket.  Last week the physiotherapists there celebrated with an open house in the third-floor gym, inviting hospital workers and visitors to check out what they do.

I won't show you photos of the patients but here are some visitors:

Invited to swim at the open house

The hospital pool was part of the open house too. At the shallow end, nine rubber duckies and one rubber frog were allowed to float in a small roped-in area. How could you NOT feel happy seeing these enthusiastic swimmers?

It takes a lot of zest to go through months of physio with determination and a great physiotherapist, one that helps people to stay focused and makes them smile is very zestful indeed.

As our daughter is a physical therapist (in Virginia), I do applaud your salute to those professionals. I hope they are working their magic on your husband and he will be going home soon.

OMG; what sweet guests they are at the pool♡♡♡ I've experienced my late three immediate family had been under warm care of medical staffs. Physiotherapists must have an very important part in the field☆☆☆

I wasn't able to photograph him, but if I had been able to, the dog I saw yesterday dashing along the banks of a river would have been my contribution. I like the "one rubber frog", too. :-)

I'm glad there is an official looking duck to take care of any duck hanky panky in the pool.

It is so wonderful to have people able and willing to help ... some hospital works seem to have lost their zest. Love the rubber duckies! I knew the fellow who wrote the song, "Rubber Ducky."
