Pedal Car

For sale

Last Saturday, my sister and brother-in-law took my husband and me on an outing to Port Perry. Among other places, we visited  an antiques and collectibles shop where I spotted this old-timey vehicle.

Barbie and her friends sure traveled in style back then...whenever that was. Does anyone know what vintage this car is?

Here you can see the pedals

In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I  am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

Uuuhhh, this was not on my radar back then. I was too busy studying Barbie to learn what girls looked like.

Way before my time! But then again it may not be as old as we think. Looks like it's still in great condition.

I'm thinking the 1960s? At any rate it is too cute!

Oh, that is so cute! I have no idea of the vintage but I would have loved one of those back in the early 1960s! :D

That's cool! Love the purple car and the little pedals underneath. Looks just a little bit before my time....maybe early 60s?

Hmmmmm, I think I'm a bit too big for this :-) but I'd still love to have it!

My brother and I had a pedal car, but not a flashy Barbie one. I'm thinking 60s, too. This one is in pristine condition! Thanks for linking up.

that is so cute, hubby says how much was it for sale for... bet it was a lot....

little girls of that era would have had a blast 'driving' this one...Barbie was a 1959 girl and I guess the car came along a several years later...

I have no idea on the age, but I love it!

If that is original and not a reproduction I'd imagine it was very pricey considering the condition it is in. Usually they are in poor shape having been exposed to the elements for decades. Nice find.

It looks like back to the 50's and before. Real cute. To big for Barbie maybe. MB

I really wanted a pedal car around 1952. Alas.

Our son had a red one similar to this in 1961.

i was thinking 60's maybe, but then it could be something newer to look older!

Very girlish and cute! I love how it's old but abreast with today's fashion.

Oh I had one like this when I was 5 years old, but mine had a (part)bottom in it

Oh, I WANT one - my sister had a peddle car when we were young and she used to let me go in it but never drive! I bought my son a Night Rider peddle car when he was small, it was his absolute favourite toy ever.

what a great find, I love that it is a Barbie car. We had a Red Ryder.
