Deer on the trail
I was walking a trail looking for...whatever, when this pretty doe walked down the trail from the opposite direction.
Greens for lunch
She was distracted by my presence for a few seconds and then decided I wasn't that interesting.
Hi there, CameraGirl
She didn't seem to care I was there but I kept my distance. Then she slowly walked off.
I am linking to Saturday Critters HERE.

What a nice encounter! She sure seems comfortable with you there. She has quite the pink tongue!

I imagine if you had kids with you, she would have bolted. She's a beauty.

What a lovely discovery while walking the trail.
A lovely quiet encounter.
How lucky to be able to photograph this deer close up. It's like she posed for you. :)
What a sweetie! You must present a deer-friendly aura!
I really noticed the difference in the deer when I am back east compared to the mule deer we have here in the west.
Most deer are pretty skittish. I'm surprised she didn't bolt and run.
She didn't even mind! This is like my post a few days ago, the same attitude! Maybe she is still kind of young... What great pictures, you can even see her fur.
A magical encounter! I love it when that happens!
She's beautiful! What a wonderful encounter.
She was obviously close enough for some great pictures.
What a dear little deer.....
Beautiful pictures! Lucky you. :) I would loved meeting the adorable deer. Great shots and post.

she is a real beauty. Glad she did not mind you. :)
Deer are the most elegant of animals, aren't they? Though, if they eat your flowers or your vegetables, I hear that they are not as highly valued.
Lovely photos, she seems quite relaxed with you there.
Wonderful shots. She seems easy going about having you photograph her.
Wonderful photos.
pretty amazing to see this doe up so close and that she didn't run. my husband and I were walking in the woods once and a small deer came right up to us, and then followed us for a long ways. Later found out that some people had taken care of it when its mother was killed on the highway. Very tame, but not a good thing in hunting season.
My, what fun that would have been! I am not seeing any deer at the strip pits, but see them other places.
Great photos! They are usually not so trusting. This one must have great instincts.
Nice pictures! Today I stopped in a historic cemetery in Front Royal and was surprised to see a fawn cross the road. Deer seem to be numerous this year.
Ohhh, lovely!
Beautiful! Such a sweet encounter!
She s just beautiful!
Gorgeous deer!
