Green Darner

 Great camouflage

Yesterday I was out with a fellow birder who spotted this dragonfly as it  settled into this hiding spot. If he hadn't pointed it out I never would have seen it!

Really fine details of the dragonfly's wings! You were fortunate to be so close. That hasn't happened to me yet with a dragonfly. The strength of the engineering of their wing struts always amazes me.
