Fancy-schmancy buggy lawn ornament
The yellow wheels surprised me but I'm sure it would distinguish the owner's buggy from all the others parked along the street or in a parking lot.
In sepia
We've come a long way since the "good ol' days." Way back when, no one was driving 130 kilometres per hour down a dirt road (the speed many cars today travel on Ontario's 400-series highways).
In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

Seems to me that a buggy like that deserves to be in a museum or else still in service.
I am soooooo glad i did not live when this was our mode of transportation... i love to LOOK at it and would like to ride in it, but just for fun..
in the middle of winter this probably would not be as romantic as I see it here :-) 140 YIKE on a dirt road and I think 70 kph is terrible on dirt roads as they do drive here (young and somewhat stupid).
That is a beautiful buggy. I wonder if they leave it out all winter.
A fine looking buggy there EG, I wish the people that speed over the limit today were made to travel this way for a while to think about things :)
I do like that one, EG.
What a neat looking buggy.
The buggy looks ready to go. Would be fun to take a ride.

kinda hate to think about the upholstery rotting away in the elements, but it is striking out there!
Yellow wheels are sure to draw attention … even nowadays yellow tires on a car would help it from getting lost in the parking lot. :)
What a beautiful buggy. And the color photo does it justice. I'd think as a lawn "ornament" it would be likely to be stolen?
They must take this in when winter arrives, right?
I can only imagine riding very far in one of these. Rough ride, but arriving in style.
Better than snow machines in disrepair on front lawns that I see here at times.
Oh no, a beautiful old buggy belongs to the Rubbish Tuesday.
They are a very unusual ornament. Looks great though.

I believe the fancy-schmancy term for this buggy is, fancy-schmancy carriage...very nice. Tom The Backroads Traveller
That buggy is in really good shape!!! I like the yellow wheels!!
How pretty! I love those yellow wheels too.
Oh yes, that's a nice buggy, and in sepia. Beautiful photos.
It's in such good shape! I wonder if it ever gets used anymore. I can see it being pulled by a beautiful white horse in a parade.
I do love the old buggy and those wonderful yellow wheels!! What a fun capture for the day!! Hope your week is off to a great start!! Enjoy!!
Both views are sensational, and the last one in sepia, tends to lend the eye to days of long ago. Very nice.
That is a fabulous ornament, very well looked after. It looks great in sepia too.
What a nice buggy! Very nostalgic in sepia.
Ive always liked anything from the "good ol' days." And I LOVE this!!!
a friend went to NY and posted her photos. I am reminded of us as a family riding a carriage similar to your buggy.
Lovely photography of the vintage buggy ~ Life in some ways was simpler but harder I would imagine also ~ Great post!
Happy Week to you,

It's cute. I live on such a small island, I see this buggy in good use here.
Great shots of the buggy.
What a cool buggy - and you've processed it beautifully in sepia.
Still in pretty good shape! Love the sepia!
A time for speed,
a time to meander. . . .

Great old buggy and I love the yellow wheels!
Just love it! What a beautiful old buggy!
Sweet!
Love the color shot the best, it really shows how much style the owner has.
Very colorful buggy.
that's a pretty one and it's a lawn ornament?
Worth a Thousand Words
Makes me think of the musical 'Oklahoma', and these lyrics:
Chicks and ducks and geese better scurry
When I take you out in the surrey,
When I take you out in the surrey with the fringe on top!
Watch that fringe and see how it flutters
When I drive them high steppin' strutters.
Yes, we definitely have come a long ways from the "good Ole days". We did not even have this. Just a wagon pulled by a mule.
What an unusual lawn ornament. Love it. Both images are beautiful.
The sepia gives it a nice vintage feel.
A beautiful buggy in both images.
What a classic, which looks equally good in both photos!
Would love to go shopping with that ! The only problem is I have no horse !
That's a classy wagon!!
In sepia- my fawourite!
Wow, I like that buggy yellow wheels and all.
Love the yellow! Great colors.
This image works wither in color or sepia. But it becomes a different thing, depending on how it is done.
