Rose leaves this morning
Yep, we got snow last week but NOTHING like Buffalo got. It did look and feel like winter, though. Today the temperature feels quite nice because it's above freezing and this morning there was no wind. YAY! Sadly, there's no sunshine either.
Seeds of Japanese anemones
I looked for white this morning and discovered a patch of fluffy Japanese anemone seeds and...
Grass and Annabelle hydrangea in background
small pockets of snow. It's almost gone!!

how about close up shots of those brown hydrangea.. they look fascinating to me..glad it warmed up for you
Beautiful and unusual finds. Glad you didn't get it as bad as Buffalo - that's sounded awful for some. I'm looking forward to 70's tomorrow (for one day only, says my husband).
Glad the first snow is away now. I hope there won't be any massive snow falls there.

Beautiful images! We've still got some on the ground. It'll depend on how long the warm up lasts.
Love that first shot especially. Frame it and hang it! It's nice to have warmer weather, right? We'll hit 82 today. Then colder later in the week. But no snow. :)
love that green/gold of the first shot! beautiful!
isn't it funny....that even as they fade and die off, they are still so beautiful!! only nature!!!
Nice photos of the leaves in your first image.
Oh, yes! I love that first shot, too! Wonderful leaves!! Hope you have a great new, snow-free week!!
I love the fist shot, it is gorgeous.
The rose leaves look as though they were dipped in gold. I am glad to hear the snow is leaving your neck of the woods … hopefully it will not rise to unmanageable levels at any time during the wintry season.
Strange weather eh. My grass is greener now than it has been all summer.
magnifique ce premier cliché
Glad you're able to enjoy a little respite.
It's amazing how quickly the snow disappears EG, mind you I suppose that all depends on how much falls! You got some excellent 'after the snow' shots here.
Glad you didn't get what Buffalo got! I've been watching all that snow on the news from my cozy chair here in Texas :) Unbelievable.
Nice shots -- especially the rose leaves -- all those thorns!
You'll have snow soon enough .Buffalo seemed to suffer very much.Glad to know that you're safe.
There may not be any sunshine, but your photos look sunny to me!
I just came back from a walk and it is +9˚C but like you say - so dull & grey!!
What a wonderful post today! The color of the leaves...you can tell that something is coming. Japanese anemones, they look like poppy seeds on cotton balls. Have you shown the flowers before and I forgot? They sound beautiful.
I really like your first photo
Love the photo of the anemone seeds. And the rose leaves are gorgeous
We still have a bit left. It will go soon.
It's not even Thanksgiving here but I am already tired of snow although the warmer weather today has melted a lot of the ice!!
I am glad the snow has gone, even if it is only for a while... I know it will be back sometime in the next 6 weeks...
Hi Tina,
Hope you're enjoying the snow melting.
The birdhouse looks really pretty.
The A. Hydrangea looks great too.
We have one in the front yard, though I don't know if it is A. Hydrangea or just a Hydrangea.
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
That's about all we have here too and it's mild today with rain coming tomorrow. I rather like this shift to warmer weather.
You show the glowing gems!

Love your shots of the leaves and the lighting is just perfect!
I have to say that I love dried hydrangeas. Beautiful!
Beautiful images. I am pretty sure you will be getting more snow.We are getting some right now,but it started with freezing rain, which makes driving treacherous.
Gosh, nada, nothing. I would have expected that the snow that hit Buffalo would have given Ontario a coat of snow, too.
Our little bit of snow was gone a while back but our leaves did not fair as well.
Gorgeous images!
Glad your snow didn't stay for you. Love the colours in the first shot. Mellow.
Gorgeous shots! I love the second one!
Ours is gone today.
My friends in Muskoka had somewhere around 125cm in places. Now the wind is blowing all my stuff about. sigh.
I'm glad you didn't get what Buffalo got. Wow, that was scary. The golden rose leaves are quite beautiful. Hope the wind and snow stay away from you for a while.
Lovely shots of late fall/early winter. I also love the tractor in the next post.
Lovely images, the grasses are my favorite.. We had a warm day today but they are calling for snow on Wednesday.. Have a happy week!
Your images are beautiful. I love the color of the leaves in first photo!
Beautiful Tina...so happy you didn't get all that snow. Price to be paid living near the lakes..Michelle
