Dried and shriveled
There are plenty of brown leaves here but NO snow! YET.
Cattails
It MUST be December - now that it's winter, my camera will not be able to resist taking photos of cattails. (Speak to my camera's psychiatrist if you need an explanation.)
Black-capped Chickadee
These cute birds cannot pass up peanuts and or black-oil sunflower seeds. We keep plenty of treats at our house to make sure they continue to visit.
'Tis the season

Love the dried up leaf and cattails, Chickadee and wooden deer.
So there may be an explanation for cattail obsession? I could probably use one...my camera wriggles uncontrollably every time we pass the ones near our house...
Each photo is a delight ~ love the little chickadee!
Happy Week to you,

I like your wooden deer. I'd be glad to send up some Minnesota snow if you'd like! We've been white since early November.
Lovely shots! We've had some snow here, but a warm day Saturday melted most of it.
I hope she keeps the snow up there in Minnesota. I wouldn't mind if we wait until Dec 24th for some! Love your wee chickadee, EG!
Great photos. I like the cattails and the chickadee is very cute.
Lovely photos, especially the bird. We've already had snow in New Jersey, but some trees still have brown leaves. We had the snow last week, but today it was over 60 degrees Fahrenheit!

Ah, perfect captures for the season, EG!! And you do find the beautiful ones!! Thanks as always for sharing!! Hope your week is off to a great start!!
I love these. Brown here too with no moisture anywhere in our forecast.
officially summer here, but it still quite cool.
So much essence and beauty held in dried plant life.
I can't believe you lived in Hingham! 5 miles from my hometown of Hull.
Your camera has it's own psychiatrist!? No wonder you get such great photos!
I love your Chickadee shot! I've decided I should try to sneak some suet and/or peanut butter out back and see if I can attract anything. The apartment management only specifically forbids birdseed.
If all your cattail pictures are as beautiful as this one, just allow that camera to take as many as it wants to.

You have taken a couple fairly dead things and made them beautiful! Such really lovely pictures, each one worth framing and hanging. Or maybe a big collage. LOVE the sweet chickadee picture! This is probably the only way to get them to be still, they flit and flit like they are on caffeine. The deer looks like a primitive masterpiece.
Chicadees hang out in West Hartford and I never put anything out for them.
You can have some of mine! hehehehe. I really like your little wood creature!
The chickadee is quite adorable!
All photos are seasonal appropriate and a joy to see. The two top photos are artistic in their solitary poses.
Oh I love the chickadee,
so cute
Lovely pics, all of them!
Such lovely shots.
Last night I felt exactly like the leaf in the first picture. But this morning I'm bright as a Chickadee!
That is a cute photo of the Chickadee!
Good that you put out treats!
Nice focus in the first picture, great series.
This is the time of year when things become lackluster.
I love yoru image of the Black-capped Chickadee :)
Wonderful images!!! You have my permission to post lots of cattails, since I can't get close to many around here...
I love that deer!! i want one... beautiful leaf, the shriveled is my favorite..
I really like your dried up and shriveled leaf, but all of these photos are beautiful.
I love the rustic reindeer. :)
Your cattails look like caterpillars climbing stalks of grass.
I love your cattail shot and the cute chickadee! The deer is cute too! Great series, enjoy your day
I like this sequence and you got such a sweet shot of the chickadee.
fabulous images of your corner of the world. love those dried leaves and cats tails. Have a great week and thank you for stopping by my blog this week.
Love the dried leaves and seeds and the adorable little dee. No snow yet really? We are in a wet snow, freezing rain situation for the past couple of days..very slick roads..Michelle
