First "REAL" Snow

A country driveway

"Real" snow is the snow that has to be shoveled and that's what we got last Thursday.

Friday afternoon the sun came out (YAY!!) so my husband and I took a short drive to see nature's beauty.

Canadian National Railway tracks heading southerly

 Melting snow on Pine tree

The sun was warm enough to melt snow and create icicles.

 More tiny icicles

A place to sit and enjoy the sunshine

Please visit Michelle at Rambling Woods for more NATURE NOTES.

Beautiful! The way winter ought to look.

It looks beautiful though I have a suspicion that it might have been cold too. The railway tracks photo is great; presumably your trains don't all come to a slithering halt at the first sign of snow as they tend to do over here.

Beautiful winter captures!! It does look cold, but so beautiful!! We raised our family in Montana, so these scenes brought back lots of very happy memories!! Thanks for sharing, as always!! Have a great new week!!

Oh my. Your pictures show the snow each in a different way, and so beautiful!! The wonderful country road, the light at the end of the tracks, the frozen melting snow, and the empty chairs. You know, beside being beautiful, each picture also tells a story.

Such nice shots! Your first real snow is just a little deeper than our only snow (last month)...ours was the best kind. Melted and gone in days.

The chairs don't look real tempting right now~! But the rest of your pictures are just stunning. The pine branch with the ice dripping is my absolute favorite. All the beauty you show is almost enough to make me want to experience some 'real' winter. Almost ;>)

It looks so picturesque up there now. I have a pair of old Adirondack chairs like these that I leave out year round. I consider them more sculpture than seating, like yours.
