Snow melting on spruce tree
M is for MELT
A week ago, even though the day was cold (just ask my ears and fingers), sun shining on this spruce was melting the snow on the tree's branches.
Pefferlaw Creek
Water in this creek kept part of it free of ice.
Insulation needed!
This house is undergoing major renovations and I'm sure adding insulation is in the plans.

Great series of magical and very chilly looking images!
The first one will make a perfect Christmas card :)
And I'm also sure the owner will add some insulation, the icycles are wonderful!
My favourite is the Pefferlaw Creek - beautiful colours!
Have a fine day

Thanks to you Camera Girl I am reminded that winter does have some beauty in it.
Oh wow those icicles in the last shot look very menacing, but also striking.

Gorgeous captures! I love the first and last photos. Those icicles are wonderful.. Have a happy day!
Great icicles on that overhang and spruce!...:)JP
I like that first photograph the best.
The icicles are gorgeous, but they're dangerous when they fall down from the roofs.
Pretty winter pics. The last one reminds me of when I was a child walking to school in Duluth, Minnesota in the winter. I'd see icicles like this, break them off, and eat them like a popsicle! Probably not too sanitary, but on the other hand, it probably helped my wee body build some resistance to germs. Just guessing.
Your last picture is very impressive ! Must be scary to be Under ice when it's mmelting -and maybe falling !
Everything looks a little bit magical when covered in icicles!
When I saw the first picture I thought we had slipped back into December and Christmas. The second one made be a bit more hopeful about spring comeing... eventually.

Very pretty shots, EG!
Spring will come... eventually!
Thank you so much for cooling me down on such a hot day EG.. Fab frosty images.
Those icicles are interesting ... pretty in the first pic, but kinda dangerous in the 3rd. Neat post.
I love icicles, but, it is too cold
those icicles on the pine are better than any christmas tree i've ever seen. :)
I just love those icicles!
I really like the photo of the snow melting on the tree. Although the icicles on the house are pretty, I agree that some more insulation is in order.
Olá, calculo os frio nos seus dedos, as fotos são magnificas, transmitem o frio sentido.

Beautiful series of images.
I love the icicles.
Best regards, Irma
The ice is beautiful.
Nice icicle shots! Since we have no snow and ice to speak of, I'm enjoying yours.
Icicles beautifully decorated the Christmas tree. Regards.
Beautiful icicles, lovely trees and wonderful captures for the day as always! Your blog is always a great way to begin my day!! Thank you!!!
the first shot looks like the clear icicles my mother used to hang on her tree. that is just beautiful to me..
Amazing natural decorations!
Very beautiful pictures ! Our temperatures are too low for ice !
The 1st one reminds me of Christmas decorations!
Wow, your lovely photos could be from my own yard and house, except this year with our some what milder winter, we have very few ice beauties hanging from our house, which is fine by me!
Impressive shots, love this last one with the icicles. We are having such mild temperatures here on the West Coast. Some ski hills shutting down due to lack of snow.
Your fisrt shot is amazing ! A brilliant capture !
Now you see, unlike mine, those *are* serious icicles! The first shot looks almost like a Christmas tree!
Great icicle shot. It does look very chilly.
These huge icicles are impressive! But your first picture is so perfect that the icicles look like the artificial ones you buy to put on your Christmas tree.
I love our photos, so very pretty. Like a winter wonderland.
Pretty
I love your icicles, TG. Your pictures of the are soooo pretty.
..
The icicles are so beautiful.
The snow melting on the spruce is a pretty shot, I want to be there at that creek in the second, and that last shot! Wow, all those icicles...been a long time since I saw any like that.
Fab just fab, love the first one, it looks like a decorated Christmas tree..
I just love seeing icicles! That first shot is so pretty.
The tree icicles are so pretty. There is a lot of heat in the sun even on these bitterly cold days. I've also noticed some melting on our deck. I sure hope that house has insulation on the renovation list. That's a lot of icicles!
As cold as it's been in your region (& eastern U.S.) I'd take those melting icicles as a hopeful sign.
The third shot is a great capture, too...
The icicles are amazing.
I love how the evergreen tree is decorated with nature's icicles.
Wonderful treatment

Even though it melt, it still looks cold to me:) Love your first shot (makes me think of Christmas, even though it's February).
Those icicles are amazing.
The first two are very nice photos, but the 3rd one is the 'sharpest', Tina :)
Have a Beautiful Day!

My goodness, your photos are simply marvelous! I love those icicles! I am glad we don't have a lot of snow. I know the water is good for us but the drive is murder! A great share to which I give you an abundance of many beautiful compliments! Please stop by soon. Have a great weekend!
I´m not sure I would dare go out that door. Not without a hammer or someting. :)
love the icicles, and will never forget the winters I spent in Ontario.
