Reflections at Jackson's Point, Lake Simcoe
These photos were taken in December before ice and snow covered Ontario.
A longer view
Yesterday (Thursday)
No reflections yesterday. The ice was so thick that cars were parked on it, so I walked on water (frozen, that is) to take this photo. They've put up a new sign on the building since last December.

What a serene scene, and I salute your courage in walking on water... even frozen!
You're something special - you can walk on water :))
Would have loved to go with you!
Beautiful pictures, especially the last one :)
Have a beautiful weekend

You are brave to walk on the ice.. Great reflection capture.. Have a happy weekend!
Beautiful boathouse! Superb capture with reflection... interesting to note a fuel pump on the jetty.
What a difference a few months make!
Great reflections in the first shot. You are brave to walk on water, I'm not sure I would trust it.

Stay warm!
parking vehicles on ice...yikes!
the white trim made for some great reflections!
The cars were parked on the ice.. incroyable! I just can't even imagine that EG. Boathouses always remind me of elegant days gone by :)
Winter added a sense of quietness to the whole scene.
More snow and ice in March than December! Great reflections in the first shot!
Quite a contrast in seasons, EG. I assumed it had to be a business... how many private boathouses would be that big?
Thanks for showing the two 'seasons' in this post. I think I prefer the watery reflections. I know I prefer those weather conditions.
Amazing ice and what terrific reflections for the day!! We did see ice/snow like this when we lived in Montana, but certainly not recently or here in Portland! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!!
Nice reflections!
Fantastic reflections and such a difference to today's scene.
wow, all those beautiful reflections are frozen solid.. i really like the design of the boathouse, it is attractive and protective
The contrast with/ without snow is soo impressive !
Beautiful, warm shots!
Great series. I like how we get a glimpse of the second story in the first shot, then the full view of the building, and then a reminder of lingering winter.
Ah, good old Bonnie Boats. Haven't been up to Jackson's Point for ages, perhaps I might go in the summer. Love the reflections on the water.
That boathouse has some great reflections as does the dock. Not too long before that ice melts.
Beautiful pictures... excellent reflection...
Great reflections. Can't believe they park cars on the ice.
What a difference!
I've not seen a boat house before as nice as this one.
You should link this to Geometric Friday ... great shots and love the comparison of now vs then. Looking forward to the "then" version if you get my gist. Nice post ...

These are really good reflections! And I have never seen a boat house like this! Now to the function...do rich people keep their boats there?
What a difference a day can make! Lovely POV and photos, Tina!!
Have a Beautiful Day!!!
Peace :)
Defined reflections. I have never seen a boat house design that includes a framing of an alternative colour like this. Great for reflections.
Love the first photo and the reflections. Every day is different in these days.
I like the comparison between your shots
I think it is going to be a late thaw, EG! Did you read about the guy who was trying to walk across Lake St Clair from Detroit to Windsor - he had to be rescued. I wonder if he had his passport? ;-)
It's in you is still very cold winter, I'm sorry. I prefer to look at the reflection in the water than on ice. Regards.
Ooooo, love the photos, especially the first one. Beautiful water.
Wow what a difference. From wet and wild to parking ready.

Water is so easy on the eyes...:)JP

Love that long view!
A different experience, taking pictures on the water.
The difference is amazing isn't it! xx
How loverly! I haven't been to Lake Simcoe in ages!
Lovely winter scenes! I bet you can't wait for spring.
