Okay, it would feel cold to you if you live in Florida but the days here have been noticeably warmer to ME! Daytime temperatures have been above freezing and ice and snow are melting! It feels a bit colder right next to the lake, though. These fishers appear to be wearing enough clothing to keep them feeling toasty.
Ducks and gulls are finding fewer ice flows to stand on
Spring truly is just around the corner. But we won't be seeing crocuses and daffodils for a while yet.

Fantastic winter photos !
Greetings
It must be a nice feeling to see the sun and blue skies.
Looks like a popular fishing spot EG, how cute the ducks on their ice floats. Still looks mega cold to me here sitting in 30C :)
Beautiful sunny pictures! :)
Just what I needed on my grey day... :D
Have a beautiful Sunday!

It's all in your point of view, isn't it?!
Amazing how 5 C. can feel warm. The sun is much warmer. Such a relief!
Very cool!
These are both cold images. But so true of northern winters.
Spring is the best - it sounds like its almost there for you! Looks like a nice spot for the fishermen
It may be a teeny bit warmer but I'm still feeling cold! Not putting the sweaters and woolly socks away just yet.
Blue skies and sun are always welcome - especially on a cold day.
A nice island of ice for the ducks … I wonder how they cope with the cold floor at their feet.
The water is such a pretty shade of blue. Bright sunshine always makes me happy (unless it's 105 in the shade). It's still neither/nor here. Rainy and dreary. Come on spring!
My first thought you know was oh yeah, it's freezing out there. But living in a winter-wonderland myself I know days that in a photo you'd think we'd be freezing- and yet, it's a rather warm day, for a change! Just really snowy! Ha! Ha!
It does look cold and since we are in the mid 50F here again I will say "it does look cold".
Early Spring here---what's next?

My first thought was that the fishers needed to be extra careful so they don't slide down the snowy rocks into the water. Beautiful photos.
the top shot is neat. :)
Fab photos. We too feel Spring is around the corner and I am so excited. WE do however live in a much warmer climate than yours. wishing you warmth x
I sure hope those fishers are wearing survival suits while standing on that snow pile. I'd be afraid of slipping into the frigid water. What a great photo!
Ah, cold, but beautiful and I have to admit, it does look warmer than some of your earlier shots!! Love that blue sky!! Have a great new week!!
Those are dedicated fishers, EG!
I went by the house where I always see the first crocuses and snow drops of the spring and sure enough, up against the south-facing wall there were crocus leaves popping through the dirt. I'm hoping they may have flowers within the next week or so!
Beautiful shots! Spring seems elusive here, considering we woke up to extra snow here today.
Good signs! I'm enjoying the blue and white while I can!!!
Oh they look so nice on those colored suits. The floating ice seem to be their boat.
Is that a small lighthouse? And the water is so blue! So many fishers on that one iceberg!! What a great image.
Freezing fishing ... not the same in Tahiti !
Great images!
The water looks so pretty and blue next to the snow. I'm always reminded of our different English styles when I see "fishers."
I look forward to seeing those daffodil pictures, glad that the snow is clearing.
It is so good to see those signs of spring.
I bet it is as cold as it looks!
Yep, I bet it is cooler near the water. Looks enjoyable to be there though. We had coffee on the front porch and ate our burgers out there his evening, and I hung clothes out on the line! Spring has begun....I hope!
are the orange outfits survival suits incase the fall in the water or is orange a fashion trend (smile) .. great photos and yes it looks cold
Scary to see the fishermen standing on slippery ice with freezing cold water below.
I can see, sthe spring is almost there, behind the corner.
Love the fisherman,
Hugs
A quite picturesque place, I hope for them the weather will soon get better!
It looks pretty cold to me and I can't imagine standing there on that ice, duck or fisherman. Thank goodness Spring is almost here.
Looks like people know how to dress warmly up there! Reminds me of a meme I saw of 48 degrees in Florida with everyone bundled up in winter coats, and 48 degrees in Michigan with everyone in sweatshirts and tshirts enjoying a bbq. I'd guess the same applies to where you live!
Thanks for reminding me what snow looks like!!
Very nice winter shots! Do not you miss spring?:)
Great shots. Spring will arrive sometime no doubt in your neck of the woods.
I saw ice today floating in the river nearby, although the chunks were much smaller!...:)JP
seems like a perfect day to me :)
I hear you… above freezing always seems dreamy and hopeful this time of year. Beautiful photos as always!
I know what you mean. Anything above freezing here feels great and we are getting some snow melt...Michelle
You're right, it does look cold, but as you say, the days are getting warmer and I'm looking forward to the sun rising a bit earlier.
