Old barn door
Seen from the road - a dead end dirt road - this barn is on a cattle ranch that's still being used, although the barn is not...at least, I think it's not being used.
View of the entire log barn
The metal roof is still good but some of the logs are decaying badly.

Gosh! It does not llok too bad from a distance bit close up there is a lot of wood missing but I love the weathered old wood.
I am always thrilled when I come across old structures like this. I especially like the top shot.
It's beautiful. Long may it stand!
Lindas! bjs,m ótima semana! chica
Gorgeous place!! I would love to paint there.
Thanks for sharing.

Great view of the log barn. But here in Africa the wood wouldn't even get a chance to decay; it would be used as firewood! Have a great day. Jo
You can see right through! Amazing though how these structures survive in so many years.
I would have thought one big wind and the whole thing would have been down. Lovely old building to photograph though.
It is a shame to see these old buildings left unused and falling apart, but I imagine the cost to repair it would be astronomical. Great for photos though. I bet lots of that wood could be recycled into other projects
that barn is probably at least 100 years old. I LOVE IT! a piece of history.
Oh, well, so long as the roof stays in place. :-)
What a beautiful barn...so loved and used....
To me there is such beauty in crumbling buildings.

An awesome old barn, I love the old weathered wood. Great shots! Have a happy day and new week ahead!
I love old barns like this. So much character and history behind them.
Nice find Camera Girl. The barn is in bad shape but it is still interesting enough to photograph.
The decaying log barn holds interesting viewing... great captures
Phew...I don't think this poor thing would last through a big wind! I can't imagine what it would be used for at this point...maybe shelter for some farm animals.
That's a great old barn.
I love how blue the door looks in your first photo. That is exactly the colour I'd choose to paint the outside of my house if I didn't already live in a yellow brick condo
nice and rustic.
great old barn...but I am surprised that it is still standing
Despite decay, it certainly makes a lovely photo.
You find the most beautiful things! I think this barn may have a few years left.
It certainly makes for great pics, EG!
I find myself wondering how many years are left in it.
What a great old barn, EG!! I bet it has some wonderful tales to tell if it could speak!! Terrific captures as always! Hope your week is off to a great start!! Enjoy!!
What an incredible building! xx
I can't speak for the owner, but I could see the turmoil; if you need to use it you need to fix it up, but if you love the rustic look of it, it would be hard to do. Thanks for sharing!
Cool, I love the grey patina of the old wood. I have a relative who owns and lives on a ranch in Idaho where their house and most of the barns and other outbuildings are made out of logs. They keep them up though.
Gem!

The decaying logs make for interesting pictures.
That first shot in grey is a masterpiece!
Beautiful images... Beauty to be found everywhere...

i love old wood, weathered wood...worn stone.
this one just needs a little TLC.
beautiful!!
Very nice photos and I love the first one!
Have a Beautiful Day, Tina!!
Peace :)
Oh, to know the stories of this place. Great images.
You wonder what to do with them. Some are buying up barn board, but there comes a time...
I love it!
An old barn, beautiful images. I wouldn't want to get in there, maybe the last time..............
Wonderful shots. Nothing like coming across old log barns.
Love that first picture, wonderful textures in the wood
Gorgeous weathered wood on the barn and fencing.
I like seeing old barns but hate it when they are neglected. I doubt this one would keep anything in.
Wonderful captures EG. It sure would be draughty inside! I enjoy seeing old buildings like this and wonder about their history. Thank you for sharing.
Great photos of the old barn. I wonder when it was built. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to build with logs like that.
Beautiful barn filled with character and great shot!
Happy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol
It's a pity that it is left dying. It actually doesn't look too old. I was thinking of himeless people in tge city. Why not put them there and start farming...but well, just a thought.
It's the best for photographer to find and take photos of old things.
This is beautiful, and I like the first photo a lot.
Hugs
Wow! This is one old looking barn. The wood almost looks like driftwood. Lovely pictures.
Best not to venture inside!
Love that old barn door!
Thats indeed what you call pretty decay. Marvelous.
I love the look of that old wood :)
A beautiful old barn.
The timber is lovely to see when the weather have made something to it.
Just love the texture and the weatherbeaten construction! Wonderful shot.
Oh, I just LOVE old buildings like this! Great photos!
Neat building. Probably been there a hundred years. Nice.

Now there's a barn I wish could talk...or that we knew the history. I would dearly love to know how old it is.
The charm of the old and weathered - I wonder if that applies to humans?
It certainly has seen better days. Lovely photos.
