Driftwood

Rotary Park, Ajax on the north side of Lake Ontario

It was a warm day, a lovely one for sitting on the beach.

 Driftwood #1

This beach seems to be a magnet for  driftwood, especially old tree trunks.

Driftwood #2

That last one would have been well worth the trouble of hauling it back home. :-)

Along our Sonoma coastline are miles of driftwood cast ashore by the Pacific currents. You may have inspired me to take a day and go out there to photograph some examples...this summer when it warms up.

It's so nice to hear you speak of a "warm" day...and the chance to be out and about enjoying good weather. Do you use driftwood for any projects? People here make lamps and coffee tables and other objects from it...

I could spend hours there photographing all the nooks and crannies of the driftwood!
