Osprey returning to nest with a stick
I have read that male osprey convince females that they'll be good providers by bringing home sticks to the proposed nest.
She's waiting
Will she be impressed?
Looking at the offering
Adoring eyes
What do you think? Will they have a family together?

Nice photography and nice story telling Camera Girl.
My guess is yes but time will tell and I am sure you will show us equally great photos then.
Well if I were a female osprey I'd be swooning...
Love the story you've told with these gorgeous photos!
Eagles do the same thing and this pair seems enameled with each other!!...:)JP
If not, he's sure wasted a lot of effort. :-)
Yes, I think they are well on their way to having babies.. Cool shots of the osprey! Enjoy your day!
Fantastic series of photos, telling an interesting story!
WOW WOW great shots and your commentary well what can I say I laughed out loud. HUG B
that's so lovely the way you told their story. I think they will live happily ever after, well I hope so.
A very romantic story!
Oh I say yes! They will, as love is in the air and growing with their nesting!
She didn't look that impressed to me. It was like "That is more of a twig than a stick dude"
awesome photos! not sure about adoring eyes though...
Amazing stuff.
Wonderful wildlife shots!

Beautiful series of photos! I think it's a match. :)
A beautiful couple. Of course she want to have the stick.

Beautiful photos. I'd say that big stick might have won her heart.

Nothing like starting the day with a romance!!! I love it!! Your shots are incredible as always and a handsome pair they are indeed!!
Beautifully graceful shots!
WOW! What can I say, amazing shots!
Love these close-up shots!
"Could you move the stick over there? No wait, I think it will look better here. No, maybe next to that one."
What female can resist and offering like that...wonderful captures, EG! I have only seen one osprey in real life, that I have known for sure was one. I am forever watching for one now.
Love is in the air, or in this case, on the platform. Super shots!
Incredible shots. Perfect timing.
Very nice bird photography - that's difficult. I hope he managed to convince her about a common future :-)
I think he impressed her. It would have miserable out on that platform in the weather we have had lately, EG!
Nature bird photography for sure.
What a camera you have.
Wether she accepted or not,you got some great photos of this interaction.
Beautiful captures and what a great love story! Thanks for sharing. Jo
Wonderful shots! I certainly hope Mr and Mrs Osprey will have a family.
I think he has definitely won the fair lady! Lovely series, excellent photos....I've heard about this courtship ritual too ... And the nests they have around here are sometimes really huge.
I'm cracking up- she does not look that impressed with the offering! I'm jealous...my osprey has not returned, but I just know he is out there on the edge of the field somewhere.
Incredible pictures! xx
Beautiful photos, but I think she's gonna stick it to him!
Glorious images Tina.
He may woo her with a stick or two but I always think the nest building is a bit haphazard!
Fantastic pictures. I'm still yet to see an Osprey. I hope when I do its happens something like your pictures portray.
Wonderful images, as always, and a very interesting story...
What a wonderful photo-story! I love Ospreys - our local nesting pair just had their chick fledge and start flying around and it's been amazing to watch!
Great lighting to bring out the detail.
I saw one bringing a stick today! So exciting to see this previously endangered species.
One never knows these things. Fantastic images!
Very interesting post here. She sure looks impressed towards the last photo.

Very beautiful photos, Tina!
I have never seen Osprey close enough to photograph well.
Thanks for showing us how beautiful they really are.
Have a Wonderful Day!
Peace :)
That never worked for me, EG.
Great story and shots. Looks like he has already delivered quite a few sticks, so I think he is in with a good chance.
Cracking shots - we have ospreys here, but they are a slightly different species. Not got any pictures yet!

Oh my gosh I love this series of shots EG, I would say he is definitely in with a chance!
I am sure she said "Dude you are my hero'.
Very good shots. A very cool bird and the namesake of the Seattle Seahawks.

Oooooh she is smitten, I do see babies in the future!!
I think she accepted his "stick".
Darling post! Great shots!
WOW! What a fabulous sequence! Great job.
