In shallow marsh water
Spatterdock is a native pond lily now in flower and is fairly common here in central Ontario where water moves slowly, as in this marsh.

Good morning, lovely images and reflections! Have a happy Friday and weekend ahead!
I took a few very similar photos at a lake two days ago, but they were rubbish so I deleted them. Yours look better!
Nice, clear reflections of an interesting named plant!...:)JP
Nice reflections.
I always love seeing them. Great shots. Hug B
It looks quite different from the lily pads and flowers I see around here. You caught the reflection very well.
First...love the fence image you captured for you post below this one. And secondly....what a beautiful yellow lily bud. Wow!!!
I had no idea this thing existed: you are a never ending source of knowledge about birds and plants!
yet another plant I have never seen, it is beautiful
Such an interesting plant growing in a marsh. Never seen one before.

Exceptional shot, I like the rich color of yellow! I rarely if ever have seen one like that around here!
Lovely flower, and nice pics of it!
Nice yellow to see in a pond. Good shots.

What a neat looking flower.
A lovely soft yellow, and they make great reflections!
Lovely shots, EG!
Really nice shots!
Beautiful shots! I've seen these in the odd marsh... just didn't know the name.
Oh, these are beautiful!!! Love the color!! Superb captures as always and, as always, a lovely way to begin my day!! Thank you, as always, for sharing the beauty! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Enjoy!
Lovely lily and reflection in your photos. Didn't know about these before.

Nice shots. I have learned something new.I did not know the name of these flowers, now I do.
gorgeous....that little critter picked the perfect spot to land!!! have a happy weekend!!!!
how pretty!
They are really very different looking lilies from what I've seen before. That is a brilliant yellow and the insects evidently love them a lot!
They are beautiful! I have not seen a yellow water lily, but my hubby's cousin was telling us they had seen some. (It was somewhere I didn't have permission to go, so it did not stick with me where.)
I wonder how the cow lily got its name?
Nice pictures, at first I thought it was a monster rising from the deep not just a lovely flower
Wow! Splendid shots!
beautiful images of a very interesting (and unusual to me) flower!
Very unusual!
Never heard of this! Or, if it is a cow lily, I could say, I've never herd of it!
But I like very much.
I think it's the first time I see this beauty.
