Reflections of Trumpeter Swans and Canada goose
Lots of water fowl like to hang around with Canada Geese! Maybe they feel safe since some (most?) geese are extremely noisy if they see anything that could mean danger.

Both are beautiful birds, but swans are always a special treat to see.
Noisy? Boy! You got THAT right. Yesterday, at the canal, I could even hear them pulling up the grass en masse. :-)
Beleza de fotos!Adorei! bjs, chica
The pair in the first photo are definitely involved in a very deep conversation over some subject. Maybe that goose??
I guess now that you say that I guess it does seem like lots of waterfowl hang out with the geese.
Very pretty!
That is probably true, the geese are loud. I love the swans!
Great shots, enjoy your day!
That's a good point!
Nice to see so many birds enjoying the water.

Very clear reflections and beautiful birds!
But these are not noisy pictures.
I have never seen a swan in the wild. and only two at the gardens here. i like that you got them all together.
I love to watch swans and geese.
Lovely photos, calming.
really cute. :)
Swans, geese and water flowers, this time a beautiful view. Regards.
I didn't know about swans wanting to hang with geese. We don't seem to see swans around here.
Always great to have friends to share with and guess that's true for the swans and geese as well! Wonderful shots as always!! Hope your week is going well!!
Great photos! All these birds look quite exotic to me...
Love to see these 2 species getting on so well. Greet shots.
Beautiful photos. I enjoy seeing swans and there aren't any in our area of the province.
Fantastic shots! You captured the waterfowl and blue water well.
In that first shot it looks like their doing their trumpeter swan dance...I think your reasoning about other fowl hanging with the swans is right on! I tried to hang on to a swan one time and the darn thing bit me! That's when I wrote my swan song.
I'm struck by the size difference!
Love those blue reflections!!!

Very nice compositions in the first one !
Love the reflections too !
I like your reasoning, EG! I wouldn't want to take on a swan any more than a goose though. They are big birds!
Those swans look so graceful with their long necks!
I love these Tina!
Now that's a sight I never see- those swans are pretty.
The Trumpeter Swans are quite different to the Mute Swans I normally see. Nice to see them.
Best of pals maybe...
Great photos of the birds and their reflections in the water.
Nice photo. They all seem quite stern.
It's a surprise to see Canada geese dwarfed by another bird. I'd never thought of them as Nature's alarm system.
Marvelous shots.
Oh. I've notiCed that before and wondered. Your reason sounds logical. Pretty pictures ... I love when there are great reflections like that ... Mirror images of the beautiful birds!
I do wonder what they think when they are together...is there eye contact or do they totally ignore each other?
Beautifully captured!
Wonderful composition!
With that size on the bird they can sound really loud.
Nice picture :)
Nice photos of the two!
They all look happy enough!
A wonderful share!
wonderful sighting and wonderful captures!!!
Wow! That certainly shows how big those swans are.
