Our Sand martin (Riparia riparia)occurs across most the whole of Europe and the Mediterranean countries, part of northern Asia and also North America. In the US it is known as Bank Swallow but is the same species.
These are beyond EXCELLENT!! I'm sure it took a lot of patience and diligence to sit and 'wait' for it to croak. LOL [no pun intended]
And Yes!! That soap scum truly disappears, doesn't it?

Oh, I love him! I have always wanted to get a photo of a great big bull frog! I don't necessarily want to get too close because I'm a bit squeamish of any reptile or amphibian but on the other hand they're somewhat fascinating to me! On summer nights and with a big pond just down the hill the frogs sing all night long but by time the morning sun comes up, they're gone! Or at least gone to sleep!

Isn't he wonderful ... I used to go to a pond where they were and I captured some similar pictures. So much fun ... but watch your step, when the babies come out of the water they are everywhere and they are tini tiny. Beautiful shot ...

These are terrific shots! We have tiny frogs, no more than an inch in length, that make a LOT of noise. They're usually too small and well hidden to approach with a camera. I envy that you found and shot this cute little guy.
Those are wonderful. You caught him croaking! I bet you can hear that guy for miles. Beautiful photos ... And it makes me happy to see frogs doing well!
