Shadows on Retaining Wall

Shadows of yellow leaves and rusty fence

The fence is atop a retaining wall,  so the shrubs are rooted a few feet below.

A closer look at the shadows

I am linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2 HERE.

Great shadow shots for the day -- as always!! I love the colors!! It is MUCH too hot here in Portland -- 96 degrees and it isn't even 4 o'clock!! Feels like I'm back in Texas!! Hope your weekend is going well!!

At first that wall looked to be flat on the ground. Great captures.

Creatively shot! Good use of the shadow, EG.

the fence rod is so much prettier as a shadow, but of course, the shrub's leaves help that look.

you know how much I love paintings by the sun. love that second one, the details of the shadows are beautiful

Kelly said...

The sun was at just the right angle to make a great combination of shadows from the leaves and the poles.

Nice combo of organic subject matter paired with non-organic (rusty pipe) which is becoming organic!

Yellow Leaves and Rusty Fences sounds like a good title for a poem or something.

They do make interesting shadows...looks like the fence has a growth of some kind in the shadow.
