Right now many fields and meadows in south-central Ontario are a sunny yellow, covered in goldenrod.
Not to worry, hay fever sufferers: Goldenrod is NOT ragweed, the weed with pollen that makes you (and me) feel so uncomfortable this time of year.
Ragweed has GREEN flowers

Pretty shots of the Goldenrod and the fence. I have recently developed allergies I never had before, it is weird. Have a happy day!
They are everywhere and add a beautiful golden sight to the fields.
Is this a crop that the farmers grow, if so for what? It is very bright and beautiful
Oh I love that shot of the fence and silo surrounded by goldenrod!
The goldenrod, and goldenrod+silo photos are gorgeous! The ragweed? Made me sneeze, lol. Dang you're good!
Muito lindos! bjs, chica
I love the fence in your shot.
Belas fotografias.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

A field of sunshine EG :)
Great photos. 2 plants I don't think we have here in Australia. The Goldenrod is very cheerful :-)
such a beautiful field of it!
I'm glad that you set me straight as I was about to start sneezing.
We also now a lot of goldenrod. I like such a sunny view of the fields. Regards.
Aaah, a solo silo. I haven't found any lately. Nice photos. achew!
I have given up the notion of trying to disabuse people that it isn't goldenrod that people are allergic to. I have also noticed that the goldenrod is already past its best date.
Ragweed, how one little plant can make people and animals suffer so much!!
I love goldenrod and this is beautiful. but i can tell you if you bring a big bunch of goldenrod into the house and fill up vases, it will make your husband of one year sick. way back in 1963 I did this and he sneezed his head off, he was allergic to it.
I have never seen green flowers until now...
Yes, we've been invaded with bright yellow too.
Fields of gold and fields of dreams! Beautiful!
I've been watching, but ours hasn't turned yet. Have a super day and a great weekend!
Beautiful, rustic shot with the old crumbling fence. I love goldenrod too and it is so beautiful out in the fields this time of year. I allow it to grow in one of my gardens ... sadly I have some uninvited rag weed out there too ... hmmmm, no wonder my hubby is sneezing :(

That fence is AWESOME! And I love seeing the goldenrod! Beautiful. I miss things liek that here.
Goldenrod is all around West Virginia now, too. The bees and butterflies are loving it!

So vibrant and so gorgeous too!
GORGEOUS colors!!
That's so funny, my dad used to always think it was the goldenrod that caused him to sneeze.
Nice shot of the goldenrod!
SO pretty, I love that yellow.
It is a pretty sight in that fence scene. Very pretty up close also.
oh, that fence shot is beautiful! :)
Very beautiful pictures !
Pretty shots. I like the old fence.
Goldenrods make great transformation on landscape to gleam in golden yellow!
Beautiful shots!
Ah, the goldenrod is so beautiful!! I love the vine covered silo and those peaceful skies! Superb captures as always and always a beautiful way to start my day!! I hope you have just as beautiful a day today!!!
just gorgeous! I absolutely love your pic of the old broken down fence surrounded by all the yellow!

EG, I so wish I had the money/time/energy to come visit your world. I so love that second shot. I have sure enjoyed your blog over the years.
Love the shot with the silo, EG! I've been seeing more and more goldenrod in city gardens lately - it is so lovely!
Wonderful golden flower.
Beautiful pictures, as well as the previous post, too.
True Gold!

=^..^=
It is beautiful! Our goldenrod hasn't started blooming yet.
Beautiful photos. I especially love the one with the silo.
The golden rod is such a lovely shade of yellow and oh my your fence scene with the silo is is so pretty.
Goldenrod does get a bad rap this time of year. Ragweed is something that gives my whole household trouble.
These are day-brightening shots (sans ragweed). Great composition and cool fence in the second shot. It looks as if some plant is ready to take over the silo.
Gorgeous Goldenrod image.
What an awesome sight of the field of gold. You did a super job on capturing so many details.
excellent captures
The goldenrod here is also in full bloom. I hadn't thought about the ragweed, but that's probably why my nose has been extra-leaky lately. :S
Although Goldenrod grows quite happily in gardens here, it doesn't grow out-of-control in the wild. However much of a nuisance it is to farmers it nevertheless looks very attractive.
My hubby's hayfever is down this year. We have a ton of goldenrod, too!
I haven't seen those here. Love the color.
Like Eileen I had no allergies in younger years but now I'm plagued with some so I think our bodies become more sensitive to these allergens the longer we are around them and the greater the exposure.
wow. I love taht fence. But I´m not sure it can keep anything inside or outside of it :)
Soon I will be completely jealous of you and your fall. You better takes lots of awesome fall photos!!:) Your plant photos are beautiful!
