Scavenger Hunt

 a. Bird

This red-breasted Nuthatch is a frequent visit to our peanut feeder.

 b. Beach

Taken in June, this photo is of a beach in New Hampshire.

 c. Bridge

I love the reflection of this bridge in Omemee, Ontario

 d. Bottom

Roots and soil at the bottom of a nearby forest walk.

e. Butterfly

A monarch is sipping a fall aster's nectar.

The butterfly wins hands down--just can't be beat for all its colors and shapes.

Agile birds, nuthatches. I like all of these but the nuthatch wins for me.

wow! Great set this week. I just love the bird. I lived on the seacoast in N.H. for 25 years and am familiar with the beaches there.

Indeed-the nuthatch image is such a delightful shot! But, so are the rest of them and the 'scavenger' hunt!

Nuthatch picture is wonderful...I love watching them. How they hang upside down so much of the time. Love the bridge and the root. Love the monarch...I still think I have seen more this year than I have in ages. Seems like we see them everywhere we go, and I sit on my back porch and see them fly over. I told Roger we must be in their flight path. Oh, not gobs and gobs or nothing like that. But sat out there about half an hour the other day and I think I seen 4 or 5 fly over. They are all heading west...a bit southwest....I told him they must go over there to hit a jet stream or something that helps them on their journey. (How's that for a loooooong comment?LOL)
