Clock tower - Peterborough, Ontario
T is for TOWER
Towers are fascinating and not just because Rapunzel was locked high up in one. I'm forever wondering what the owners do with the space inside the tower.
Clock tower, Uxbridge, Ontario
I'm thinking most clock towers are filled with staircases to the top so someone can change the clock when Daylight Saving Time begins or ends.
Tower on house, Alliston, Ontario
But what's inside THIS tower? Why does it have windows and curtains?

One good thing about small towns is that they have great clock towers. It would be interesting to get inside of one.
Love the first shot of the Clock Tower. Now the one with curtains is not a clock tower but just how someone wanting their house designed way. that (I think)
Belas fotografias destas magnificas torres.
Gostei.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
Such a beautiful and old fashioned Clock Tower.

What pretty and historic towers...kept so well saying they matter!!...:)JP
I love those clock towers!
That first one is so elegant. But as for what goes on inside a clock tower, you probably don't want to know! Tick tock!
Wonderful old towers. I like the one on the brick house. I guess curtains make the windows look a little friendlier than blank glass?
I think that house tower should contain a cosy nook with a comfy armchair by the window where I could sit and read all day long.
what a great assortment!
now i am wondering if you could ask them why they curtains in the tower. that is a beautiful home and my curiosity button is on alert. the room would be to small for a room. maybe a window seat for a larger room? i love clock towers and they are rare here. also clocks are no longer in stores. there are no clocks in all the places i shop. if i forget my watch, which is common, i have no way to know what time it is. when i mentioned that to a store clerk, she said use your cell phone. i don't carry a cell phone so that doesn't work.
I love towers and spires. Cool
Towers always seem a little romantic EG, not sure why :)
Ah, I love the towers and spires and I do agree with Grace, they do indeed seem romantic, but why??? I don't know!! A terrific post as always!! Thanks for sharing -- the beauty and the mystery!!!
And sometimes it's ladders to access the clock tower. Pretty examples here!
wow these are wonderful
Those clock towers are spectacular. EG! Maybe there are lovely little window seats in the house tower!
Eye-catching architecture!
A great selection of towers. :)
I really enjoyed this post. I'm fascinated with clocks, and towers and places that have clock-towers, and that last photo, is a very interesting place. I wonder what it is?
A grand assortment of towers!
Beautiful towers and I am sure there have been princesses and snow queens in them. That is my story:):) HUGS B
Wonderful post for T and great shots of beautiful towers!
Happy Week to you,

Most towers like that around here are used for cell phone communications.
Towers look very cool, which seems like a good reason to have one. But it is interesting to contemplate what one would do with the space.
Lovely towers, I always think they are a great place to sit and read...
Very cool, I would enjoy a tour of the last one!!
Lovely towers!
Each one a beauty! Thanks for sharing.
These are delightful! I lived in a church bell tower for a while. Yes, the church was active and over 100 years old. What a setting!

I love all of your gorgeous towers!!!!
I love the look of the house with the tower. :)
The tower would be a great spot for a pantry, or maybe a powder room. Me, I'd probably go with a mini, cramped library...because I never have enough space for books. lol
I love your theme for alphabet T. Towers are really intriguing. And your pictures wonderful.
You have three very fine towers up there, EG.
I so love that house!!! Fabulous find!
Clock towers are awesome to see! I love all of these a lot.
