Serendipity Princess

Paddle wheeler on Georgian Bay (Lake Huron)

The day I made this photo, Serendipity Princess was docked in Midland and ...

The paddle wheel up out of the water

judging by the mop hanging over the railing someone must have been cleaning it so it would be ship-shape for it's next tour - a 90-minute narrated cruise around historical Penetanguishene.  Note there are three decks, which includes a patio on the upper level.

Closer look at the paddle wheel

Apparently there's room on this paddle wheeler for 265 passengers!

A real beauty, 265 passengers seems an awful lot though!

Well, that's kind of cool.

BUT is there room enough for this name--Penetanguishene? Wow! :-)

It is lovely! Great captures! And I saw your raccoon photo and it made me think of a neighbour of mine who saw a raccoon in her backyard! While this doesn't sound unusual, it is much more unusual here in Montreal! :)

Yikes! I do not think I would want to venture out on the river with 264 other people!! Pretty boat though!

That is a beautiful ship. Fun to get a good look at the wheel out of the water.

Lovely. I'd suggest going for a jaunt on the lake on this paddle wheeler, but it's a bit cold today and I don't have my long johns on yet!!!!!

I'm sure it is a great tour! We have similar paddle wheelers here in Cincinnati that provide lunch and dinner cruises on the Ohio River. When we need a water fix we go take a river cruise. :)

I didn't know there was a paddleboat there! Very nice.

Oh, I'd love to take a sightseeing cruise on that boat, but maybe not with that many passengers!

Terrific captures for the day as always!! I do love the paddle wheeler!! Your pics brought back fun memories of the one that I took up the Mississippi years ago when I lived in New Orleans!! What fun!! Hope your new week is off to a great start!! Enjoy!!

Interesting to see the paddle not paddling! xx

The colours are amazing!

Penelope Notes said...

That does sound like lots of passengers! I can see things going a bit tipsy should all 265 people stand on just one side of the boat. :)

I'm thinking that would be a fun trip any time of the year!

I would never have guessed it holds 265 passengers...but wish I could rent it for about a month and just 'paddle' around all over with it.

She sure is pretty, especially from the shore. I don't see lifeboats for 265!
