Showing off

This handsome fellow lives with another peacock and a small flock of peahens in a neat old barn in East Gwillimbury.

Strutting around

Doesn't he look regal?

My goodness - WHAT a glorious bird! It is a wonder these birds can survive, with all that stash and finery and decorations! And that little "thing" on his head! Maybe he is developing a tiara? :)
Great shots of this wonder of nature!

They're beautiful! A few weeks ago I went looking for some peacocks I knew about but they had been moved out of the neighborhood. Lucky you.

This is why they say "Proud as a Peacock"! Magnificent.

Great pictures of magnificent birds (although I always think that those little feathers on their head make them look a bit silly close up).

I think those are the best peacock pictures I've ever seen. That includes my own!

The male birds have more colours that the male humans! I'm all grey :-)

Wonderful shots!
So nice that he spread his feathers for you. The closeup of his head is really nice - I never noticed they were so blue.

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

You got some beautiful shots. I am so jealous! The only peacock I ever got a photo of was at the Portland Zoo but they ahve removed all peacocks that strutted the grounds out of cages because one "attacked" a kid that "bothered it."

Just gorgeous shots!

What a gorgeous animal. I haven't seen a peacock in years. I love it when they shake their booty and vibrate those feathers. Great shots.

You have to admit they are one handsome bird! That blue just cannot be duplicated.

Lovely shots! Amazing how such regal looking creatures can make an incredible sharp, raucous sound when there is an "intruder" to their world. I used to have 2 peacocks on my property in Tasmania and they used to make these harsh sounds when anyone drove up the driveway!

Beautiful shots! The OKC Zoo has an albino male that I would die to catch in full spread, but he's playing coy.

Wow!!! What a display.

The peacocks I saw at Shakespear park last Saturday have their feathers trimmed, (naturally) I did not see them open up their tails.
