Bright / Scenic Sundays

Golf course in winter

Yes, we still have snow here. It is snowing a bit today, although later today it will be mixed with rain and some of the snow will wash away. Snow is in the forecast for later this week...so NO it is not spring here yet.

I know a lot of you are tired of snow but I cannot afford to be. This is Canada and I must be realistic.  :) Spring will arrive soon...but not yet.  Besides, I really do believe fresh snow is very beautiful.

I like you photo but not your weather fore cast. Even Canadians are smart enough not to golf in the winter.

Fresh snow is beautiful, but the shoveling and driving are no fun.

We had our roof shoveled off a few weeks ago. It cost a fortune, but we were concerned about the weight of the snow and all that ice.

Happy Sunday; maybe I'll see you on Facebook. ;-)

It´s simply wonderful. Here, it´s hot and humid. We do need such kind of landscape.
Have a nice w-e

The golf course looks so peaceful in winter. 7 inches over night. Thus is the life in Ontario in February! A little too early yet to have spring weather. We will see lots of cold and snow yet!

Hi EG ... how beautiful! It reminds me of home. I know what you mean, so many are bragging of spring and planting and we just have to appreciate the beauty of the snow for a while more. I even start to miss it when summer gets here ... and I don't even ski or snowmobile. I just think it is pretty.

God bless, and thanks so much for stopping by to say hello yesterday.

I enjoy seeing your nice snow photos you took in Canada. I am not into cold weather but just seeing a nice snow photo is just fine with me!
I wish some crazy golf players are there playing the golf!
Thanks for sharing.

It is a beautiful show. We still have all our snow it has not disappeared. It snowed all day yester so we have a bunch more. the thing is that we live up high so we have snow and down land there is just a bit and the roads are clear. My Son-IL got my car unstuck last night. Kylee put her truck in a ditch but my other daughter has no problem with Her truck. The other truck is loaded with hay and covered with snow. All trucks are 4x4s. the thing is we seldom have snow and it is so late to get all this NOW!!! My car is all wheel drive but one daughter stuck it in a snow bank---grrr!! LOL!! MB

I also think snow is very pretty! I like the bright green of the conifers in your photo, a nice contrast with the snow

Awesome shot - even if I'm really tired of all the snow we have here in Sweden for the moment.
Have a nice week!

I can understand your feelings about fresh snow being beautiful. And I think that's true. More or less.

But I have enough of that beauty in past years. Thus, I live in Florida! :-)

Don't know what to say about the golf course...your picture is very nice and the pristine snow is very nice, but I think if I lived up there it would a bit sad, too.

Played golf this morning - the temperature reached 85 degrees this afternoon. The golf course is green and lush. Great fun.

Re your question on The Villages - I'm sure those flowers are watered on a regular basis...hundreds of workers are out and about taking care of such things through The Villages every day.

Have a great week!

I agree that fresh snow is beautiful, but I'm still glad the golf course behind our house doesn't have all that white stuff on it.

The photo is very scenic. I like seeing fresh snow, but I must admit I'm more than ready for spring.

Beautiful! Yep, here in Wisconsin the snow will be around a couple more months I suppose, but it will eventually vanish. :)

Don't worry too much: we got our 'spring at sea' with two days of rain....
