Scavenger Hunt

 1. Basket

This shopping cart is a metal basket on wheels, don't you think?

2. Park

I'm stretching this one a bit, I think. This is the Duffin Creek section of the Waterfront Trail.  It's a lovely stretch of land on Lake Ontario, and since there are benches here and there to look over the water,  I am thinking this is kind of a park. This is what it looked during our recent January thaw.

 3. Auto

This auto is actually a horseless carriage. I wonder what the first horses to see one of these thought. Hmmmm.

4. Recycle

Antique farm implements are often recycled as lawn ornaments on rural front yards. Kinda cool and definitely more fun than scrapping the metal.

 5. People watching

I was the "people watcher" watching the people watch the geese, mallards and swans.

I went to the link you provided but confess I didn't fully understand. Do you make up your own themes or is it done for you. I could not find the information that stated that this week was basket, park, auto, etc. Clue me in please. Many thanks! PS. I love the old farm equipment photo!!

It must be very interesting to be a people watcher.

But others may have been watching at you as well.

Or you could "park it" for awhile and look out at the lake :). Great shots! Love the auto and recycle, tho I love anything vintage.

Great tractor shot. Where do tractors go to die?

love the old tractor, but that sweet little lady and her shopping cart stole my heart :)

how dear is the elderly lady with her shopping basket - definitely counts. Love the recycled lawn tractor and your people watching shots.

Love the tractor for its bright color and the people watching. It is great when you can capture people when they are unaware of your camera.

You have great shots for the themes, especially the car and the International Harvester F-12 tractor.

Love that people shot-to imagine what they're enjoying. Cool old autos too. My fave story my grandmom used to tell was of her mother nagging her father when they got their first "horseless" car. At 20 m.p.h. her mom was nagging her dad to "slow down; she couldn't see the sights". Can you imagine her on the highway? Yikes.

I love the tractor too. We have an old hand plow that was my father-in-law's when they were very poor and first started out farming.

We have it in our front yard just as you mention here.

Great series this week and it was challenging...I thought so anyway.

Happy hunting next week!
