Hope for Spring/Weekend Reflections

Spring is coming. Spring is almost here!

This time of year the yellow branches on willows excite me. Don't get me wrong: I DO love winter. But I am also looking forward to spring.

Spring tip toes into our neighborhood as well. The reflection in the water is so pretty. I was just trying to use an orange/blue combo and there you have captured it.

Always nice to experience the approach of spring as new life bursts forth upon the earth.

Re your question: We have a funny winter. It can be 80 degrees one day and 40 the next. We're now in the midst of our 3rd Canadian cold air blast and it will be cool for the next 3-4 days.

When I took the Panera Bread pic it was rather early in the afternoon and a little cool so most everyone was inside, although some were eating in the area in front of the restaurant.

Changing the color of willow branches adds the belief that spring is coming. The picture is beautiful. Yours.

I love all the different colouring in this photo. Beautiful capture. I also look for the yellowing of the willow trees this month. A sure sign that it's soon spring! Have a great weekend. Pamela

I will take your word for it that the willows are yellowing... Even after the plough has been by, I can't get that far, to see for myself...

After all the greys of winter, those splashes of willow color are most welcome! This is a grogeous shot. The reflections are wonderful, love the perspective.

We are looking very much forward to spring, too. Blue skies and water poking through lake ice, just as you have pictured! Bring it on!

Pretty sky and water scene! I am so ready for spring. It seems far off when everything is covered in white right now.

That golden reflection does indeed look warming and full of promise! Here in South Australia we have just experienced our hottest Summer on record, so are looking forward to the coolness and rich colours that come with Autumn.

A lot of optimists are posting about spring today. It is a visual Rorschach.
