I don't think I've ever heard of a ditch lily. It must be closely related to the day lily. This photo is one of your very best!

Nice series of photos.. lovely collage! Awww.. Mr. Turtle. I am not a fan of summer and we could certainly use some rain but I have to say this has been the bestest summer in two years! So I won't be wishing for fall right now like I usually am.. :)

love the 'clean' turtle! ours are always gunked with algae. :) sweet photos.

I dislike the fact that July is nearly over! My gosh it seems it went by in a zip! If only winter months worked that quickly. I swear even thought the days are shorter in winter (for daylight anyway) they seem to be endless. But your photos sure captured the special, sweetness of summer days. Oh summer don't go away so soon!

Gardens are in full vigour, and even I succumbed to taking some daylily photos this morning.

Hard to believe that it will be August this week. The next thing you know, the Exhibition will open and that means summer is going fast!

Beautiful shots! I often wonder with animals of such difference like a turtle and duck what they make of each other when they meet.

I'm not looking forward to summer's end. I sure hope winter is nicer to us this year. Beautiful flowers and love that last shot!

Always love your collages! Yes, it's hard to believe that August arrives in less than a week. But for us, August and September will still be hot. We're hoping for a cool down in October! Then all the snowbirds begin to arrive!

The Ditch lily shot is magnificent!

The seed heads are unusual and gorgeous! Also the lily with the dock. But how did I miss your amazing hollyhocks below?? You have truly transformed them, so gorgeous!! Oh, I see, you posted twice today? Well, I can see why, these are all too good to not post!

Love your images, especially the daylilies and curly dock! Our grandson was taken to buy new school clothes and get his glasses this weekend. It's almost time fo0r school to start here (it starts pretty early in AZ but that's one sign that summer is on the wane!)

Just love your turtle! The lily is a beauty. As for July ending, it's OK with me - I love the weather of early fall. Planning a whole day hike with my husband next week - we haven't done that in 20 years. Overdue.
